Can I be one of the first from the UK to wish all members of this forum a Happy New Year and best wishes for 2011 whereever you may be.

Personally I'm glad it's all over.

We've had extra bank holidays here because stupid xmas and new year fell on a weekend. The buses and shops are not sure if they are running / open or closed. The TV is all cocked up with stupid films like "Grinch" and sickly sentimental trash.

Xmas is no time for kids, why do they get priority?

I'm glad things will be back to normal from tomorrow.

I'm fed up with wishing people I hate a happy new year, when I wish they had leprosy.

Everything is so false at this time of year - where is the honesty?
