IN need of a larger Access accessible back end database

I like the way people want to interpret the background for commenting, instead of answering the question.
Yeah, it's almost as if they were trying to help.

OK, here's the answer you need: Try harder at getting MySQL to work- other people manage to use it OK, so it can't be rocket science.

You're not likely to find a database solution that is as robust and capable, but simpler to set up and administer.

Or you could try Filemaker - apparently it will handle databases up to 7 TB - but as (like Access) it's a file-based db solution, as opposed to a database server, I wouldn't expect it to perform magnificently when pushed beyond the sort of limits that Access imposes anyway.

I think you are misinterpreting the intentions of most of the responders. I do not believe anyone is attacking you or your company. They are asking questions that were not answered by any of your previous posts.

I agree with those who said that My-SQL might be OK, but I add that if your database is as big as you describe, and if there will be a significant number of users, then My-SQL might not be practical as a group solution, and you should be looking at using something more like Oracle or SQL Server.

A major Up Side of a database like My-SQL is ease of use and implementation. A major Down sided is the limitation to the available database size. A major Up Side of a database like SQL Server and Oracle is the extended available database size. A major Down sided is the fact that there is more work in support, and you will most likely need someone to assist you with the support (DBA, Consultant, etc.).
