I am trying to use mousehook to turn the wheel off, which i am sure DID work

however, it now doesnt report any probelm - but doesnt actually turn the mousewheel off

anyone had any issues with this, or can recommend a better mousetrap!

What method are you using?
Stephen Leban's dll solution?
Good though it is (and though I've not known it fail - I have little use of it, prefering single row bound forms anyway) there's this fine new work from Wayne Phillips.

Cheers.

I Haven't had problems with Lebans mouse hook.

i usually use MouseWheel.dll.

i just checked on the lebans website

i think the problem might be that im expecting the mousewheel to be turned off in a continuous subform - and i think the older version i had, didnt do that.

One issue I had with this is if I had the focus on a command button and that button was in the same detail area the input boxes were in, the function wouldn't work.

on reflection i think it might be me

its scrolling continuous subforms- but not actually changing the focissed item

i'll have another play ot make sure.
