I have been running an access database for 2 years and now want to run something much larger and I am thinking of doing the whole thing in SQL Server 2005.

I gonna have loads of basic questions like "how do you import a table". I'm on on the right site or do I need a site more aimed at the SQL side?

Thanks

Ted

There are a number of people here that work with Access and SQL Server together, so you should be able to find what you need here.

You can "push" a table from Access to SQL Server either by using the Upsizing wizard or simply exporting. You can "pull" it from SQL Server using SSMA (SQL Server Migration Assistant). I think you can get that on the MS website for free. I have heard good things but haven't used it myself, as I tend to build from scratch on SQL Server rather than move from Access.
