Hi all,

Watched a couple episode of the Crown. Just curious how factual it is if anyone happens to have seen it. The 1950's fog episode was pretty dramatic and something that missed our history books, go figure...(or maybe I was asleep again...)

Funny, I've seen one episode of that show, and that was the one, but I don't know how factual it is.

Talking of Churchill, I watched The Darkest Hour the other night, briliant film, fantastic acting, but again I wonder just how factual it is...

In the movie, Churchill's decision not to pursue peace talk with Hitler is driven by him getting the Tube to Westminster and talking to the common people... did this happen...

We saw The Darkest Hour as well - thought is was real good!

It appears that Hitler did try to negotiate peace with the UK several times from 1940 on, but all were rejected. The specifics are still classified, however.

The Crown is really good. i'd really like to go to England now to see Buckingham palace and all
