Hi-

I have been getting help on the AWF forum for about 4 months now, and I am constantly trying to think of ways to give something back for everything it has given me. Unfortunately with my “newbie” status, I have a hard time doing that because I’m just not that strong in Access yet. With that in mind, I am a US Certified Public Accountant and very strong in accounting and US Federal Income Tax. Since tax season is upon us, I’d like to offer those that have helped me with my project the opportunity to ask me any questions they may have as a token of my appreciation for everything AWF has done for me. For my foreign friends, I don't know much about accounting/tax outside the US, but I can always give it a stab! Thanks again guys, you all are the best!

Best regards,

Joseph Solomon, CPA

Ah yes, I remember my first day at a Public firm....sigh, the memories! I definitely wish you the best of luck. Did u get into a Big 4? I only lasted a year at my first place and then realized I could do it on my own. Now I'm just waiting on FL's Board of Accountancy to approve my firm. Do you have to do the fifth-year? I would start studyin' for the test now, lol! Best way is to study question after question qfetr question! I passed all but Audit on the first try and only missed it by a point (74), talk about painful! FAR I got 86, REG 84, BEC 78, then I got a 75 on the nose with AUD, talk about close!

Yeah, I hear the ex girlfriend one all the time and I heard a new one just yesterday: LPurvis asked if it was a reference to the Titanic. I've often thought about just getting a different alias because nobody gets it at first, but really it's a great conversation starter because EVERYONE asks about it, so it gives me an opportunity to give my firm a plug! Best of luck to you.

Hello,

Do you think you could have a go at UK limited company law? Such as paying less tax ;)

Can you point me in the right direction of how to start a stanford, madeoff with the cash, type pyramid scam, thats legal?

I'll give anything a shot. The philosophy of most of my professors was If you don't know it, just look it up. So I could probably look up most of what I need. I can do some research and see how companies are structured over there. Worse case scenario, I realise UK is overwhelmingly different from US, and can't provide any ideas, yet meanwhile learn a thing or two.

I'll PM my email.

Ya know, the IRS doesn't even know how they are going to handle the Standord/Madoff problems. I read an article in the WSJ that some are claiming it as theft losses. Since the income recognized in past years was really illusory, some are amending returns 3 years back because it wasn't really income.

I was intrigued by your name, so I googled. You aren't a fan of Samatha Fox's assets?

Can you pay my taxes for me being that I'm not in the US? I don't to miss out on your kind offer.

Thank you
