No more am i funding a service that it corrupt…… Takes 2 minutes to do online and 5 minutes sanitizing your devices... What are you waiting for?

You need a TV licence to watch any BBC channel live or use BBC iPlayer, regardless of device or platform. This includes all BBC TV channels, radio stations, and online services.

Here’s a detailed breakdown of BBC services that require a TV licence:

📺
BBC Television Channels (Live or Recorded)

You must have a licence to watch or record these channels live:

  • BBC One – Flagship channel with news, drama, entertainment
  • BBC Two – Arts, documentaries, niche programming
  • BBC Three – Youth-oriented content (available online and broadcast)
  • BBC Four – Culture, arts, international documentaries
  • BBC News – 24-hour news coverage
  • BBC Parliament – Live coverage of UK parliamentary proceedings
  • CBBC – Children’s programming (ages 6–12)
  • CBeebies – Preschool programming (ages 0–6)
  • BBC Scotland – Scottish-focused content
  • BBC Alba – Gaelic-language programming
  • BBC Red Button – Interactive services and extra live feeds
💻

A licence is required for any use of BBC iPlayer, including:

  • Watching live BBC TV
  • Streaming catch-up or on-demand BBC programmes
  • Accessing BBC iPlayer via smart TVs, phones, tablets, computers, or gaming consoles

Even if you don’t watch live TV, using BBC iPlayer alone requires a licence.

📻
BBC Radio (Live or via iPlayer)

📻 BBC Radio (Live or via iPlayer)

While listening to BBC radio stations live does not require a licence, accessing radio content via BBC iPlayer (e.g., visual radio shows or simulcasts) does.

🧾 Key Licence Rules

  • Live TV from any source (BBC or not) requires a licence.
  • BBC iPlayer use always requires a licence, even for catch-up.
  • Non-BBC catch-up services (like ITVX, All4, My5, Netflix) do not require a licence unless watching live TV.
If you're only watching non-BBC content on demand (e.g., Netflix, Amazon Prime, ITVX catch-up), you may not need a licence. But the moment you stream any BBC content live or via iPlayer, the licence becomes mandatory.

Sanitizing:

To remove and block BBC licence-related programmes and apps from your devices, the goal is to prevent access to live BBC broadcasts and BBC iPlayer, which are the primary triggers for requiring a TV licence. Did you have, like, a LOOOOOOT of coffee upon getting up this morning? Or is something off from your usual routine?

What in the world is this post even about?

In the UK, we were once led to believe that the taxpayer-funded BBC was impartial — a public broadcaster committed to balanced reporting. However, it has become increasingly evident that this is no longer the case. The BBC appears to promote a particular ideological stance, often leaning heavily toward progressive and left-wing narratives, which many feel is designed to influence public opinion rather than reflect it.

We’re told we live in a democratic society, yet the dominance of such messaging makes that feel less true. Despite widespread frustration over the licence fee, many people still believe they’re obligated to pay it. That’s why I’m sharing how simple it is to cancel your TV licence — and to do so legally.

By opting out, you not only reclaim control over your viewing choices, but you also send a clear message to the BBC — one that hits where it matters most: their funding.

BBC is getting a lot of stick for:
1. Biased reporting - DT is threatening to sue for $1b for unfavourably editing a video on 2021 speech, and a report on Gaza broadcast without making it clear it was created by HAMAS to mention two recent activities
2. LGBTQ agenda overly supported- recent case, they came down on a newsreader correcting a teleprompter from ‘pregnant people’ to ‘pregnant women’
3. Bad behaviour of their stars swept under the carpet

They appear to be unable to apologise for these mistakes and do not modify their processes to prevent it happening again.

Director General and CEO of news have both resigned and the board appears to be weak - so it is middle and lower management who are the ones who should be reviewing output before it goes out but remain to do it again

It seems like ever since Charles became King, the UK has gone from being a democracy to an authoritarian dictatorship. Are things that bad in the UK to justify such a radical change? I can anticipate a mass exodus happening. Who wants to live under those conditions?

No - ever since labour got into power

How can the Labour Party be blamed since it was the Conservative Party who introduced and passed the following laws?
  • Public Order Act 2023 and Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022: These laws, introduced by the previous Conservative government, significantly increased police powers to restrict protests and have been criticized by human rights organizations like Human Rights Watch for undermining the rights to free speech and peaceful assembly. The current Labour government, in power since July 2024, has not yet amended or repealed this legislation and has continued to use these powers.

  • Online Safety Act 2023: This Act, also passed under the previous Conservative government, aims to protect children from harmful online content but has faced significant criticism from free speech advocates who argue it leads to online censorship and limits adult access to legal content. The Labour government is now implementing and enforcing this Act.

Things are not much better here in the USA. Virtually all big cities are Democratic sanctuaries. They're under siege by the Federal Government's Republican Party in power. Some big cities, like New York, are now being governed by Socialist Mayors.
