I listen to a radio show around here that gives us information overload on useless stuff. It's about the funniest thing I've ever heard actually. They have researchers doing stuff on information that you never thought a human being would have the "lack of heart" to discover or even care about. When I need a laugh after work, I ALWAYS listen to that. Sometimes I laugh myself stupid. What a great thing to have after a tough day of trying to be "intelligent" at work! :D Anyone else have one of these relievers?

The political posts supporting Obama on this forum. Though a few are well thought out, most are nonsense and make me laugh.

My woodworking shop. Make saw dust fly and build something. Really good way to take your mind off things.

I use my Battlefield 1942, Battlefield Vietnam and Battlefield 2 to go shoot people as I'm imagining them as the frustrating posters I've run across here :D

Ah man ... that's awesome therapy. I've no access to a shop anymore, I get to go out to the garage, sit and pickle a brain cell or two and think about a wood shop, though.

Yeah and the posts supporting McCain are absolutely hillarious

Same here... :)

What's your latest project? I'm contemplating the layout of a work bench area. I'd like to build my own cabinets but I've never built any...

Good ways to blow off steam...

Walking through the woods - preferably "off-trail"
Industrial music
Trap Shooting

Really? I know a few songs like that, but then again I am a very sheltered young man, so I probably have no fu**** clue what I'm talking about.

I built my cabinets last year. Fun and good experience. One technique I will throw your way to consider. For your counter tops use 1/8" hardboard and use pin nails to put it down. That way you can change out the counter top when it wears out, which you know is going to happen.

My latest project is building a table saw station. I am increasing the left and right wings and adding an outfeed table. On the right wing I'm increasing it enough to also add my router table into it. I just got started, last Sunday, so it will be a little while before I'm finished with it. So what's your latest project?

And I bet your workshop is the size of a small bloody aircraft hanger:mad::D

Working the farm is actually relaxing and sure beats having to interract with humans, but as an escape from chores I do for a ride or if the weather is bad I make noise in the garage fixing or modifying things.
WIth the cold long winter coming I have fortunately come across four boxes stashed away with Popular Mechanix sort of magazines in them... dating back to the 1930s... now thats going to be interesting reading :)
