why is this place so republican?

We have a prosperous society, and we live well.
yes, compared to many other places. People to forget too, that America is still relatively young compared to Europe, Asia and Africa. And that is a great advantage to some degree.

But I do think the the Donald broke the law, and should account for it
Am extremely murky issue with many swirling issues. As a quick analogy: Beauty (law) is in the eyes of the beholder.
Trump derangement syndrome (TDS) is a virulent syndrome. in the background we have the Russia Hoax, abuse of the FISA process, the Mueller political hit job, two despicable impeachments as efforts to wrongfully "take-out" the Trump administration. Recall Lavrentiy Beria infamous "Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime." Given that background of twisting the power-of-the-state to get Trump, doesn't that make you question the legitimacy to the claim that Trump somehow broke the law with the documents?

Clinton and Comey unjustifiably possessed and inappropriately used classified documents. Yet they have not been prosecuted. If fact, Comey made the absurd statement that no rationale prosecutor would even attempt to prosecute Clinton. Of course each "crime" is distinct and should be treated independently. Nevertheless, it raises the issue that the law is being used for political purposes. If you are a Democrat, you don't get charged. If you are a Republican, you get charged.

On the day Trump assumed office, the media began an endless barrage of articles with the theme: impeach Trump. That tells you that the media, before Trump even had the opportunity to commit a "crime" was spreading TDS to infect the population. Given that massive propaganda campaign by the media that has gone on now for six (6) years, one has to wonder once again whether there is any validity to the document accusations.

Consider this: At one of the reprehensible impeachments, Lt. Col. Vindman made the erroneous claim that Trump violated US foreign policy. Well the President makes US foreign policy. So here we had, a person in the military who is supposed to be a foreign policy expert and who is duty bound to implement the policies of the President refusing to acknowledge that President makes foreign policy. By extension, this one incident can be considered one of many data points that highlights that the Democrats are manufacturing an illegitimate assertion that Trump committed a "crime".

For me, there is nothing fuzzy. He took documents he wasn't supposed to, that were the property of the USA, some of them classified. There are persons who took classified documents that were swiftly dealt with and did prison time. I have had some knowledge of the man, for some time, a bit of it professional. I was told to avoid him or any of his people 25 years ago when I was doing work for developers, because he stiffs people that do work for him . Nothing murky about stealing state secrets, and of course, windmills cause cancer (which had to do with the golf course he built in Scotland), and all he needed were 11,370 votes that didn't exist in Georgia. As to foreign policy then, by your assertion, the President can do what ever he wants. What if it were bad for the country, but good for him? The President is not a monarch. Here is some information about the military not following orders. I was in the military.

Members of the U.S. armed forces have an option to refuse to follow the orders of their commander-in-chief if they believed those orders were contrary to their oath to the Constitution.

The documents are property of the US, but Trump, like every President after leaving office, has taken documents "home" and/or put them in their Presidential library. As such it would be a non-story except for TDS.

So why aren't Comey and H. Clinton in jail?

The Democrats are using the power-of-the-state to manufacture a fictional "crime" in the best traditions of: "Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime."

What did Comey and Clinton steal? The power of the State is the law. Comey didn't follow through, and Hillary was aggressive. Then there are those 30,000 emails that nobody can find. I know, Antifa has them in their offices, which are next door to Qanon HQ. And I heard they share a copy machine, and do lunch.

But I do think the the Donald broke the law, and should account for it. Particularly with regard to the documents he took with him for reasons only he knows.
So it was OK for Obama to take what he wanted, and Bush, and Clinton, and all the presidents before him but it wasn't OK for Trump? Maybe you should rethink that position after doing just the tiniest bit of research. Where do you think all the material for the Presidential libraries comes from???? Was Trump accused of taking any originals? Whatever he had was copies and he, as the President had the complete authority to declassify anything he wanted to. Trump's mistake was in not copying them immediately and sending the copies to the media. Are you disputing that also? Check out the Constitution. Did he commit a crime just because the people who are threatened by him say he did? I don't see one here. People who worked for Clinton are currently being prosecuted for producing the bogus Russian collusion dosier. Apparently, the "facts" actually come down in Trump's favor on this one also. Eventually, people in the FBI will also be prosecuted for their part in the scam. It wan's Trump or his campaign that was colluding with Russia. It was Clinton and her campaign that was manufacturing "evidence" of Trump's "crime".

It is my opinion that by spreading derogatory, false stories about Trump that you have committed libel. Think about that statement. Is it true just because I said it and because I disagree with your opinion. Did you commit libel? Yes. Will the cops will come knocking at your door? No. In the US we have a much higher bar for libel and slander against public figures so people get away with defaming Trump with impunity, just because he's Trump. Examine what you read and hear about Trump very carefully. Is someone offering an opinion or are they offering facts which can be proven? If you actually analyze the derogatory statements, you can tell the difference assuming you are willing to bother.

Trump is human and has flaws like the rest of us but he is such an existential threat to the left that they will say anything to defame him and you have bought into the lies. To be perfectly honest, I was never a fan. But voting for him the first time was a choice between the serial philanderer and the person who abandoned American personnel to die in Benghazi. Voting for him the second time was an honor and I look forward to the opportunity to vote for him again. Doesn't mean I like him much personally. But I like what he stands for and appreciate what he has done to save America.

Remember all the shreeks from the media about Trump being a liar if they thought he exaggerated the size of a crowd? Did they ever show proof? Could they have? Weren't there dozens of cameras at all his events? Why would they tell you their opinion rather than show you the truth? Because it was the media that was lying. and they didn't want you to see the crowds so you could judge for yourself. Did you ever see any drone photos of Jan 6? Why? Do you think there are none? Reports are there were a million people in DC that day to hear Trump speak but only hundreds of them were at the capitol building causing trouble. Why does the media give you their opinion rather than show you actual facts? Because the facts don't fit the narrative. I'll bet you think "many" people died as a result of the protests on Jan 6. The facts are quite different. A few people (4-5) died while attending the event but not because of it. One cop died by suicide and another of natural causes. But only ONE person was MURDERED and that was Ashlie Babbitt and her murderer got off scot free because he was a black cop and she was a white protester so her death didn't fit the narrative. Apparently she deserved to die to hear the left talk about it. She was shot point blank with no warning and she was unarmed and posed no threat to the officer who shot her. Compare that to the George Floyd scenario and the year of riots that lie caused. There is video available of Ashlie's murder should you care to watch it. Judge for yourself.

Contrast Trump's "lies" such as when he told us in October that the vaccine would be released before the election - which was what he was being told by the manufacturers with actual lies spread by Biden and Faucci and Rachel Maddow telling us over and over again that if you take the "vaccine", you won't catch COVID and you can't spread COVID. Turns out that the manufacturers withheld the "vaccine" until just after the election to damage Trump. Funny how that happened.

I was told by a real estate developer that I did some GIS work for, to never get involved with anyone from the Trump Organization, because he never pays his bills. He then added, Trump is a known deadbeat. Trump also stiffed a lot of people in the development of the Trump Tower in Chicago.
People can say whatever they want. They are also entitled to sue. If they got stiffed, they should sue. If they have a case they will win. If Trump was right to not pay for incomplete/shoddy work, then he will win. I'm guessing that the people who bad mouth him had no case and so never sued. I guess you've never heard of a mechanic's lien. Not sure who is the scumbag in that case. But you prefer to believe the lies and innuendo because you disapprove of Trump personally.

Speaking of Haiti (and the Clintons), Americans (including myself) gave hundreds of millions of dollars to charities like the Clinton foundation to help after the earthquake. Guess where all that money went. It sure didn't end up building houses for the Haitians. But the Clintons sure do a lot of first class travelling on "behalf" of their "charity". The US also gives millions every year to Haiti in foreign aid and somehow the people remain impoverished. That's because we're too stupid to demand an accounting of the money we give them. We really need to stop giving foreign aid when it is actually going to line the pockets of the corrupt leaders.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. State Department investigation of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was secretary of state has found no evidence of deliberate mishandling of classified information by department employees. I believe that Donald was deliberate, and he left some of them in his office, not on a secure server, and stored the rest in his basement at a resort where anyone could be coming and going. But then, all that stuff was probably planted by the FBI, and the moon is made of cream cheese.

and he left some of them in his office
I guess armed guards don't count. Check again, the picture of the documents all over the floor was staged. Gotcha:) I also believe that there is proof that Hil's "secure" server was hacked by multiple countries. AND you are completely overlooking the fact that the President of the United States has the ultimate decision on what is and what is not classified. OTHER PEOPLE'S OPINIONS don't count. PERIOD. Hillary Clinton, Secretary of State has NO SUCH AUTHORITY to unilaterally declassify documents. PERIOD.

The mere existence of a private server to avoid Freedom of Information Act requests is a violation of federal law. All official correspondence must go through official government servers. Moreover, hiding your activities, is a purposeful deliberate action in itself. Therefore, it is deliberate mishandling.

I said they were in his desk. It was reported the FBI laid them out on the floor to take a picture. However, they still were in his office and basement, and he won't tell what he wanted them for. Where is the documentation that he declassified the documents, which he has to create and then it is reviewed by various agencies to access the impact. He just can't think of it and then it is so. Whether Hillary was guilty or not has nothing to do with Don's actions. That's like "Sam robbed a bank and got away with so, so I should be able to do that as well, but I got caught, so lets forget about my crime and deflect everything to Sam, that way I won't look so guilty." If they are both guilty then gather the real evidence and prosecute away. Except in Hillary's case, I know, the deep, dark state covered it up. Is it because they are all devouring babies in the basement of a pizza parlor, and other urban legends.

Last post on this subject.

And who runs all the presidential libraries? The national Archives. And they don't store top secret classified docs about Iran's Nukes at them.

People who worked for Clinton are currently being prosecuted for producing the bogus Russian collusion dosier.
Who? You mean the guy who was found not guilty?

All official correspondence must go through official government servers.
Like Jared and Ivanka"s?

And your overlooking the fact that classification makes no difference. The fact that they were top secret is an aggravating factor.
The fact that he had them at all is the issue.

Did they ever show proof? Could they have? Weren't there dozens of cameras at all his events?
Yes, they did.
Did you ever see any drone photos of Jan 6? Why?
No. Because it is illegal to fly a drone over government buildings.

In addition, Federal law prohibits flying Unmanned Aircraft Systems, such as drones, anywhere in the District of Columbia. Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Capitol Grounds are designated as a NO DRONE ZONE.
Moreover, hiding your activities, is a purposeful deliberate action in itself.
You mean like moving documents after they were subpoenaed and then saying you returned everything?

I said they were in his desk.
And Trump said they were not. Too bad the FBI insisted that there be no witnesses from Trump's staff. Wonder why they didn't want Trump's lawyers to be present:) Wonder why they insisted that all cameras be turned off:) If they were not doing anything illegal, what were they hiding? MAYBE, they should have requested camera coverage so there would be no dispute regarding what they removed or did not remove from Trump's desk:)

Why do Americans say 'period'? Then put a full stop after it.

Why do Brits say "In six week's time" instead of "In six weeks"? We know you're talking about time!!

After watching both Fox News and MSNBC, I've concluded that no matter which side wins, it's the end of everything. You got to believe in something, so, I believe I'll have a beer.

Why do Americans say 'math' instead of 'maths'? If you use the full word, Americans add the 's' but not in the short version.

Why is it, that every time there is mention of something that Trump did that is irregular, they have to bring up Hillary. I think that's called deflection.
And he doesn't have to:)
