why is this place so republican?

I think our young people simply do not understand what happened in the 30's in Germany and how it happened and so it is happening again 100 years later in the US.
they aren't supposed to understand. they weren't around back then. and....happening again in the US?? I doubt it.

Divisive!!!!!! So Biden calling 75 MILLION American voters in front of a blood red background with Marines to enforce his power, enemies of the people and white supremacists isn't divisive:) Substitute "Jews" for "Extreme MAGA supporters" and tell me if Hitler might have made the exact same speech:( Did Trump EVER say anything even remotely like that? Did he ever accuse the people who voted for Hillary as being evil and enemies of the state? He calls the Press corps the enemy of the state because they are not unbiased. They are actively working for the left and they don't even pretend that they are not. It was the Media and the talking heads of the left that caused the divisiveness, not the evil orange man. He is not politically correct. He doesn't have much of a filter. If it comes into his head, it comes out of his mouth which is sort of how you know he isn't lying to you:) Trump is a take no prisoners kinda' guy. If you shot him with a bebe gun, he responds with a bazooka. That was clear during the election campaigning. I'm not sure that really isn't a bad trait for a president. He sure kept Putin and Xi off guard and in their places:) Look at them now. Putin is winning in Ukraine and we're spending billions. Who's laughing now? And I'm sure all the Chinese sailors that Xi has circling Taiwan are dizzy by now and we are well and truly screwed if Xi decides to make good on his promises and invade Taiwan. Gee, wonder where we're going to get the chips we need to make our planes fly and our night vision goggles work. God, I hate having to defend Trump but you all need to stop listening to Neil Cavuto and Brett Barr and other never-Trumpers and pay attention to what Trump managed to accomplish despite the never ending ad holmium attacks from all quarters including the RINOs rather than the stupid things he has said. 75 MILLION Americans voted for him, were they all wrong? Even the Biden administration is talking about finishing the wall because they see what a mess they have caused:) Of course, when asked, the answer invariably is "the border is closed" I guess thousands of people a day constitutes "closed". I'm not sure what "open" would mean:( And who believes the Press Secretary when she claims there's nothing to see here? These are not the bots you're looking for? The Media of course and they repeat it over and over and over and over again following Hitler's playbook. If you repeat a lie often enough all the useful idiots will eventually believe it.
Putin is NOT winning in Ukraine.

Maybe 25 years ago, while I was living in Chicago, I had the need to take a taxi one evening. I hailed a taxi, and after giving instructions as to where I was going, the young and friendly driver and I engaged in a conversation. I noticed that he had an accent, and I asked him where he was from, and while I don’t remember where that was, I remember that it was not a particularly great place to live. He asked about me, and what I did, and towards the end we talked about the situation in the Middle East, where he was from. He was in college here, in pre-med, and was driving a taxi to earn his keep while attending school. I don’t remember what we exactly talked about, but as we reached my destination, and as I was leaving the cab, he turned to me with almost a look of derision on his face and said, “You Americans, you don’t know what you have.” I just nodded and shut the door.

But through the years that statement has stayed with me, and at times haunted me, because he was absolutely right-We don’t know what we have. Or better, we don’t appreciate what we have. His words haunt me even more now with the country being rendered apart by hate and revenge. I am older and one of the lessons I’ve learned in my life is to “be careful what you wish for, because you’re liable to get it.” We have a prosperous society, and we live well. What part don’t we understand.

Our problem is that a segment of the population has decided that America is evil and must be torn down and rebuilt. Things were going along quietly but steadily until the evil orange man came on the scene. Trump pulled the blinders off the citizens and now people see the racism that i being taught to our children as well as the sexual perversion along with the corruption of our federal agencies like the DOJ and FBI where they let politics guide their prosecutions.

The Democrats made a HUGE mistake when Trump was elected. They should have gone into hibernation. They still controlled the deep state so they could prevent any real solutions from being implemented. They just had to hide the problem and lay dormant for a couple of years. Instead, they decided to fight back. What they didn't understand was that Americans are NOT Socialists although the Democrats have recreated the plantation mentality by convincing inner city blacks that they are victims and therefore we actually have an underclass in a country which in practice is a classless society. In America today, the blacks themselves run the plantations and somehow have convinced the local citizenry that if they just vote for the Democrats one more time, the problem will be solved. We're almost there. Forget that their streetlights are out because the criminals break them, Their children die in their cribs from random gunfire and Johnny can't read. If their children can't read and do basic math, how can they survive in a rapidly changing society that needs something more than backbreaking labor from them? So, yes, they are victims. But they're victims of the Democrats who want to keep them poor and uneducated and hopeless.

But, the tide is turning. American isn't actually racist (yes we have individual racists). Anyone can make it in America and that is why immigrants want to come here. We have vocal minorities who are working on educating the masses as to what is really going on. Why to immigrants from Africa and the Caribbean and Asia do very well in the US? Simple, they didn't grow up thinking they were victims and the world owed them something. They took the opportunity to come here and they worked to make something of themselves and whitey didn't stop them. How about that!
I agree with your last paragraph. I've been to some bad places, but one of the worst was Port au Prince, Haiti, when Papa Doc was running the show down there. It was awful. I don't blame people living in place that will never get better for wanting to come here. If I were in their shoes I would too. But I don't believe that we can just open the boarders. I kind of think maybe we should try and fix the problems from whence they come. I will also note that I have a number of really good Doctors that aren't from around here.

But I do think the the Donald broke the law, and should account for it. Particularly with regard to the documents he took with him for reasons only he knows. Leverage or cash, or both. 25 Years ago, I was told by a real estate developer that I did some GIS work for, to never get involved with anyone from the Trump Organization, because he never pays his bills. He then added, Trump is a known deadbeat. Trump also stiffed a lot of people in the development of the Trump Tower in Chicago.

BTW: George Will said that the Democrats put up the only biped on the planet that would loose to Donald Trump.

yes, compared to many other places. People to forget too, that America is still relatively young compared to Europe, Asia and Africa. And that is a great advantage to some degree.

Am extremely murky issue with many swirling issues. As a quick analogy: Beauty (law) is in the eyes of the beholder.
Trump derangement syndrome (TDS) is a virulent syndrome. in the background we have the Russia Hoax, abuse of the FISA process, the Mueller political hit job, two despicable impeachments as efforts to wrongfully "take-out" the Trump administration. Recall Lavrentiy Beria infamous "Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime." Given that background of twisting the power-of-the-state to get Trump, doesn't that make you question the legitimacy to the claim that Trump somehow broke the law with the documents?

Clinton and Comey unjustifiably possessed and inappropriately used classified documents. Yet they have not been prosecuted. If fact, Comey made the absurd statement that no rationale prosecutor would even attempt to prosecute Clinton. Of course each "crime" is distinct and should be treated independently. Nevertheless, it raises the issue that the law is being used for political purposes. If you are a Democrat, you don't get charged. If you are a Republican, you get charged.

On the day Trump assumed office, the media began an endless barrage of articles with the theme: impeach Trump. That tells you that the media, before Trump even had the opportunity to commit a "crime" was spreading TDS to infect the population. Given that massive propaganda campaign by the media that has gone on now for six (6) years, one has to wonder once again whether there is any validity to the document accusations.

Consider this: At one of the reprehensible impeachments, Lt. Col. Vindman made the erroneous claim that Trump violated US foreign policy. Well the President makes US foreign policy. So here we had, a person in the military who is supposed to be a foreign policy expert and who is duty bound to implement the policies of the President refusing to acknowledge that President makes foreign policy. By extension, this one incident can be considered one of many data points that highlights that the Democrats are manufacturing an illegitimate assertion that Trump committed a "crime".

For me, there is nothing fuzzy. He took documents he wasn't supposed to, that were the property of the USA, some of them classified. There are persons who took classified documents that were swiftly dealt with and did prison time. I have had some knowledge of the man, for some time, a bit of it professional. I was told to avoid him or any of his people 25 years ago when I was doing work for developers, because he stiffs people that do work for him . Nothing murky about stealing state secrets, and of course, windmills cause cancer (which had to do with the golf course he built in Scotland), and all he needed were 11,370 votes that didn't exist in Georgia. As to foreign policy then, by your assertion, the President can do what ever he wants. What if it were bad for the country, but good for him? The President is not a monarch. Here is some information about the military not following orders. I was in the military.

Members of the U.S. armed forces have an option to refuse to follow the orders of their commander-in-chief if they believed those orders were contrary to their oath to the Constitution.

The documents are property of the US, but Trump, like every President after leaving office, has taken documents "home" and/or put them in their Presidential library. As such it would be a non-story except for TDS.

So why aren't Comey and H. Clinton in jail?

The Democrats are using the power-of-the-state to manufacture a fictional "crime" in the best traditions of: "Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime."

What did Comey and Clinton steal? The power of the State is the law. Comey didn't follow through, and Hillary was aggressive. Then there are those 30,000 emails that nobody can find. I know, Antifa has them in their offices, which are next door to Qanon HQ. And I heard they share a copy machine, and do lunch.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. State Department investigation of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was secretary of state has found no evidence of deliberate mishandling of classified information by department employees. I believe that Donald was deliberate, and he left some of them in his office, not on a secure server, and stored the rest in his basement at a resort where anyone could be coming and going. But then, all that stuff was probably planted by the FBI, and the moon is made of cream cheese.

The mere existence of a private server to avoid Freedom of Information Act requests is a violation of federal law. All official correspondence must go through official government servers. Moreover, hiding your activities, is a purposeful deliberate action in itself. Therefore, it is deliberate mishandling.

I guess armed guards don't count. Check again, the picture of the documents all over the floor was staged. Gotcha:) I also believe that there is proof that Hil's "secure" server was hacked by multiple countries. AND you are completely overlooking the fact that the President of the United States has the ultimate decision on what is and what is not classified. OTHER PEOPLE'S OPINIONS don't count. PERIOD. Hillary Clinton, Secretary of State has NO SUCH AUTHORITY to unilaterally declassify documents. PERIOD.
I said they were in his desk. It was reported the FBI laid them out on the floor to take a picture. However, they still were in his office and basement, and he won't tell what he wanted them for. Where is the documentation that he declassified the documents, which he has to create and then it is reviewed by various agencies to access the impact. He just can't think of it and then it is so. Whether Hillary was guilty or not has nothing to do with Don's actions. That's like "Sam robbed a bank and got away with so, so I should be able to do that as well, but I got caught, so lets forget about my crime and deflect everything to Sam, that way I won't look so guilty." If they are both guilty then gather the real evidence and prosecute away. Except in Hillary's case, I know, the deep, dark state covered it up. Is it because they are all devouring babies in the basement of a pizza parlor, and other urban legends.

Last post on this subject.

So it was OK for Obama to take what he wanted, and Bush, and Clinton, and all the presidents before him but it wasn't OK for Trump? Maybe you should rethink that position after doing just the tiniest bit of research.

And who runs all the presidential libraries? The national Archives. And they don't store top secret classified docs about Iran's Nukes at them.

People who worked for Clinton are currently being prosecuted for producing the bogus Russian collusion dosier.
Who? You mean the guy who was found not guilty?

All official correspondence must go through official government servers.
Like Jared and Ivanka"s?

AND you are completely overlooking the fact that the President of the United States has the ultimate decision on what is and what is not classified. OTHER PEOPLE'S OPINIONS don't count. PERIOD.
And your overlooking the fact that classification makes no difference. The fact that they were top secret is an aggravating factor.
The fact that he had them at all is the issue.

Did they ever show proof? Could they have? Weren't there dozens of cameras at all his events?
Yes, they did.
Did you ever see any drone photos of Jan 6? Why?
No. Because it is illegal to fly a drone over government buildings.

In addition, Federal law prohibits flying Unmanned Aircraft Systems, such as drones, anywhere in the District of Columbia. Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Capitol Grounds are designated as a NO DRONE ZONE.
Moreover, hiding your activities, is a purposeful deliberate action in itself.
You mean like moving documents after they were subpoenaed and then saying you returned everything?

Why do Americans say 'period'? Then put a full stop after it.
