Ken Higg hits 10,000 posts

Ken,

Your friends from the Political/Religious forum are arriving:D

Okay so I am like Rich 60 ish and from the UK but the years have been kind. I look younger than Rich actually.

Ken that number of posts wherever is a great achievement. I have enjoyed (sort of sometimes) from afar your post in all areas of the Forum and indeed learnt a great deal.

We all need a bit of relaxation which is why the watercooler is here.

Let it be said that it is participation that is important. It is participation that makes this Forum the success and goldmine of information that it is.

Anway I have no doubt that a lot of you posts are also recovered by searches and maybe these should be counted to provide a true picture of the help and guidance that a person has given.

Anyway I may retire (again) before I get to that count so "great stuff"

Len

Rich's posts in the technical section are extremely helpful. There are many times he has helped me and many hundreds of others over the years. Plus, where necessary his posts go into more detail if needed.

Some questions are so simple that they only need a one line answer. The object is to point people in the right direction, not to do the work for them. There are many students who post and expect us to write their project for them because they couldn't be bothered to attend lessons.

Bear in mind also that Rich does not work with Access daily, yet his knowlege is far beyond many who do.

Lord Bob - Maybe we should run our answers past you first to ensure they are to your standard?

Col

Just one more note on this and I'll try to shut up: For those that downplay the cooler posts just remember that it is probably responsible for a substantial number of advert hits for the forum owner and hence helps sustain the entire site - :)

Thanks Len. I can only think of a couple other members that could turn a pat on the back into a cat fight :p

Way to go, Ken. Keep up the good work... Seems like this is turning into an appropriate thread to celebrate the occasion...

Congrats Ken!

Officially is that 10,000 Watercooler posts and 53 Access Related

Join me in congratulating Ken in reaching the 10,000 post mark. Although it can be said that a great number of them have been in the Watercooler, it is still quite a feat (only 4 others have done it so far here).

So, congrats Ken and here's looking for 10,000 more (although hopefully most of them will be in the tech areas :D )

10,000 - !?! What a blabber mouth I must be :(

If I did 1 post a minute, 24 hours a day, it would take me 7 days to do it again!

I should have been a preacher or a politician :p

Bit generous with the techie posts there 50-2-1 , I don't think Ken has asked that many questions.

Oh ! BTW Ken congratulations, just ignore the cheap shots etc and enjoy what you do.

;)

Lord Bob started it by hinting that using the 'cooler is a bad thing.

So, the accomplishment in getting to 10,000 posts is cool, but it should be tempered with the fact that quite a lot of those posts are not in technical areas giving assistance, but are in fact social posts arguing some point with someone.

Isn't life about work and relaxation and social intercourse? Life is bloody hard enough already - are we not allowed to chit chat now without being frowned on by Lord High and Mighty Bob?

I think boblarson was just sitting there waiting for Ken's 10,000th post so he could start this thread in the manner which he posted.

Does not say much for MVP and Administrator etc.
