The last few days it's been hit or miss for me to post a reply on a thread. I was able to do so from my phone this morning but that's about it. No joy from my desktop. I just get the "Opps we seem to be having a problem, try back again later" message. Let's see if this one get's posted.

I've had that message a few times , but not a show stopper. It doesn't last long and I'm able to get connected.

Well I was able to get one through now but this seems to be a recent thing that did not happen before. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I had that message on Friday. My post changed to having a lot of stuff in square brackets about email added to it. This change was visible after reloading the page. I thought it may have related to having a call to an SQL StoredProcedure inside a code box in what I posted.

I reported it to Jon but I have not had a chance to reply since he wrote back.

Here is the post that just won't go into the targeted thread. I took a screenshot of the code just to post it here as an example of what won't post.

Title:

After Update, stay on Same control but sel.start sel.length to highlight it

How about in the keydown you redefine what happens when you hit ENTER. The following should blank out the SrchBox after executing whatever code you want to run. You of course have to have KeyPreview on in form properties.

Try reloading the page with your post by opening another tab navigating to it. You post should still be there.

Has it changed from what you had written?

Still doing it on random threads.
It is a PITA.

This page now.

I noticed when the page reloads it returns to a version prior to a recent edit.

I'm beginning to suspect it is some poorly implemented attempt to recognise when a post has been copied and the code is finding previous a version of the same post while it is being edited. Hence the reversion to an earlier version when the thread is reloaded.

Anyway I'm over wasting my time with this fault.
Please someone let me know when it has been fixed.

I had this problem earlier trying to post some code.
In fact, as you can see it's happening here when I tried to open the code window

I've been getting errors all morning especially trying to post here.
The whole site went out from about 11.30 UK time.

I still get a few oops errors but they are generally easily surmounted by either waiting a few moments, or else going back to main Forums page and re-doing the action. Most of my problems experienced are with the notification icon not loading - but that is easily overcome by just going back to Forums page

@Minty
I don't think the site actually goes out, just your access to it?

I've had a few occasions where after a few Oops messages, it looks like the site has gone down, but after a set period (no idea as to how long) one can access the site again?

I've been on all day today, and not noticed any drop in access to the site?

And of course as I go to post this, my access goes awry with The server at www.access-programmers.co.uk is taking too long to respond. @ 16:23 Able to get back on at 16:59

I've been clear of that error for the last few days as well, so was hoping it was fixed. :)

I couldn't get on between 11.30 and roughly 11:50 .
Then whilst trying to post about that it went off (for me) until about 12:30pm.

It's been a bit flakey for a while but I couldn't do anything at all earlier.

I'm wondering if some of this is to do with the fact I now have virus checkers on my other WordPress sites that do a scan periodically. Thing is, I have no idea how often they do a scan. But if you got 10 of them, then perhaps quite often.

FWIW, I just got an "Oops" message on something that I keyed in but the "new posts" thing popped up before I finished what I was posting. It was only about 6 or 7 lines and I touch-type so it wasn't that much - but once I tried to post and got the Oops, it wouldn't let go of me.
