It may or may not have come up, but I have a feeling it's at least 50/50 chance that at some point, during all of our innumerable conversations about Trump and J6th, someone probably quoted at some point a video that BBC put out, which T is now suing for defamation. As it turns out, they spliced together certain pieces of the video and removed parts where he urged his followers to be peaceful. I'm not trying to start any kind of debate on the merits of the underlying issues, only that to be careful because video editing is a real thing - and this would have even fooled me, easily!

They deleted his caution to act peacefully, and then they spliced together the video to give the opposite impression, almost certainly defamatory
...that would have left you believing that he DIDN'T really urge his followers to be peaceful, when he actually did. 😔

Leaves me wondering what else has fooled me over time. Honestly, I'm not a big 'video' person - I tend to read, rather than watch videos, and who knows, maybe it's a good thing. Convince me of something in writing; I can read between the lines. Convince me of something via video, I tend to think God himself has spoken - but that's a mistake.

I will say I myself have used, oh I think it was about 6 or 8 years ago, an app that will let you spoof any caller ID and even label the number. Had to watch a few ad videos first but it was quite accurate.
Amazing.
We have technologized ourselves into Oblivion

Back in 2006, I had Samuel L. Jackson (Snakes on a Plane promo software) call my brother and wish him a happy birthday. He loved it. :D

Maybe this should be titled be careful watching BBC videos and reports?
Hundreds a now complaining about bias in trans reporting: search for : bbc pro-trans bias damaged our children

I have found the BBC biased in reporting anything to do with climate also. They protect and project the designer walker and outdoor merchant Chris Packham and others who will provide often suspect opinions as fact.
It doesn't end there either, with numerous reports including from BBC Worldwide showing bias on various issues. Maybe there are news channels in the US who do the same? I understand that PBS and NPR distribute BBC programming n the USA.
I don't know anyone who watches BBC TV, or listens to BBC radio. As for myself, after the disgraceful Trump videos, I'll be cancelling my TV license at the end of the year. Up to now I have not seen an explanation from the BBC stating just why they doctored at least two Trump news releases.

I only watch BBC by accident for 3 seconds while surfing channels. Sometimes I pause because I hear something especially interesting, but not often. Then again, sometimes I pause on CNBC to watch Sara Eisen

LOL that's funny.

Mine's just the Roku home screen . A roku tv ,what more could you want? but i am not that much into tv's . i think mine is 60 inches and it's the biggest one ever and only got it finally a couple years ago. i just dont see the appeal of a screen the size of a house wall. nor surround sound for that matter

A friend has a theater room in her house that's just like a stadium movie theater. Heated seats that recline. Surround sound, etc.
The screen is 9' x 12' (i think) We used to play Call of Duty on it and it was like the characters were full size. The system had hard drives containing something like a 1000 movies on it.
