Database size increasing drastically (1 Viewer)

I designed a database to help a company manage their events, inventory etc.. Database size came up to be around 10MB when it was empty with no records. The database is shared on the network with a few users accessing it.

As data started coming in, database size jumped drastically. Last time I checked it went all the way to 65MB. This was quite noticeable when operating the database as objects started loading slower. I compacted and repaired the DB and it went down to low 10s.

Do I really have to keep compacting and repairing every now and then? What do you think causes the database size to increase like that?

There are all kinds of thing that cause it, and some you can't control. Some you can:

In any case, compacting is the solution. You can set the db to compact on close.
