"there is far too many spelling errors and worse the use of incorrect words"
Oh, the irony
My point is to attempt to write as well as possible. That is the act that shows respect.

It takes a big man to admit his error and, in the spirit of the season, I shall let this one slide.Hoist by my own petard
That is what happens if you change your mind whilst writing and don't go back and reread, I'd like to say I did it deliberately, but nope.

It should include free drinks all round as wellIt takes a big man to admit his error and, in the spirit of the season, I shall let this one slide.
It must be very difficult for the Northern English, Canadians and Americans to be grammatically correct, and also in spelling.
I realise correct English is not their first language.
Col
my english is much, much better than most other's english that i see not only on the forums but in day-to-day dealings.
I lived and worked there for 3 years. Correct grammar and spelling were non-existent.
The men cared more for beer, and the women were the same. The only difference between them is the women can spit farther.
There's no class in Australia - Americans would get on well there.
Col
...many of you got it wrong at least once per thread.
Thanks for the "correction". Now, did you go back and check all your posts? Don't make me have to do it for you because I know I've seen many slovenly examples of poor grammar and/or spelling in your writings. Not that it matters that much.

Or, for example - how many people here dress for dinner every night? Not many I'll bet. I do, things should be done properly.
However, I do understand Wiklendt is under a major disadvantage being in Australia, never have I come across such a slovenly populace.
However, I do at least try to get things right instead of deliberately destroying the English language like some here who can't be bothered.

uh-ha. i bet doing things 'properly' in your household includes you being the bread-winner,
while your wife stays at home looking after the children she bore for you
and starches your shirts
and then only makes conversation at the table if permitted and obeying your commands...
yeah, i often think "poor me" and "why me - why!? why!!!? oh why am i slovenly derelict whose only skill is distance-spitting!?? why hast thou forsaken me, Lord!!!!!!!??"
better stop before i break a nail, huh?
you want to talk about respect and deliberately doing things wrong? how about stating by using my username correctly. it's registered as "wiklendt", not "Wiklendt".
respect begets respect. you need to give a little to get a little.

The spelling is correct for this country, you I'm afraid have been taught the bastardised American versionShouldn't that be "realize,"
