I have been to Benidorm and hated it, it is like a concrete jungle, full of apartments built by Spanish constuction companies to entice foreigners to the place to bolster the flagging Spanish economy caused by adoption of the Euro!

Most people leave the UK simply because the UK taxes them to the hilt, taxes to pay for the influx of illegals that the farcical European law says that are entitled to come here, many of them do not work when they arrive here, many of them just come here to fleece us and steal from us.

Just the other day in Basildon a man was killed in his car by a euro illegal driving up the carriageway the wrong way!

This is becoming a common occurance in this country.

If people want to come here and I have no objection to them coming, then they need to contribute to our economy, not just take from it.

I have to say that most of this is media hype, sadly people are killed on our roads everyday, most are killed by other Brits, not foreigners. As for them coming here to scrounge, the vast majority of them come here to work. As in the case of West Indians during the sixties, they take the jobs that the elite Brits don't want.

I have personally been invovled in an RTA with an illegal Lithiuanian, so it is not all media hype.

Also for every 1 euro worker here there are probably 5 more that are'nt working, and are either sponging or commiting crimes, and then pleading for Human Rights.

I've been involved in many accidents over the years, all of them caused by Brits., I'm having a hard time understanding the fact that you seem to be blaming all of the country's problems on "Euros". Do you have any figures for Brits who drive abroad and cause accidents, because I've seen them waiting in the casualty department here.
As for illegals claiming benefits, they can't, they get an allowance and our government refuses to let them work until they're processed.

Benefit / Allowance, I think we are splitting hairs here. We still have to pay for it through our taxes.

And what about the many who don't declare themselves and are part of organised crime!

No I do not blame Europeans for the issues in our country, but they are contributing to these issues.

It is the liaisen with Brussels that is causing some of these issues, and the deeper we get into Europe the worse these will get.

I am not European, I am British, and I do not want to be European. I am quite happy to go there on holiday and spend my hard earned, but I do not want to live there.

My comments are based on my travels in Spain on the bike. I've seen the "Queen Vic" or "Rovers Return" in Torreviaja and Denia.
I've heard the Brits shouting at Spanish people (in English) - "because the diego's don't understand English".

I [verbally] attacked a Brit for shouting at a young female Spanish waitress because she didn't speak English, he reduced her to tears. He was pinned to a wall and told a few home truths. That earned me free beer for the night! Gabriella and I are just good friends

We live on an island, surrounded by water, the only link to Europe we have is from a tunnel under the Channel.

Christ almighty Scott - you are American Please remember alot of our language is from the German / French etc etc.

Plus, I think we should have the Euro, it'll save alot of farting about changing money everytime you want to pop over the channel. Also, many big business deals are done in Euro's and have been for years

We all know that most Yanks hate foreigners, thats why you lock them up and torture them for no reason other than being different from the "average" yank.
