If you are sent into combat in a war nobody wanted, also one you can't win and is probably illegal like the Iraq war.

Does it make the combatants depressed with low morale?

Talking of war, I see the yanks are itching to bomb Syria, the now have three warships stationed off the coast armed with cruise missiles.

Why can't the yanks just butt out of things?
