Hi guys,

I was just wondering if people could have a look at my first website and provide me with some feedback as the only people who've looked are the ones which asked for it to be built. They have said they are happy with it but I am not sure so thought I would ask you people as your always so helpful.

Thanks

The overall look is good, it fits in with the company, you might want to consider rounding the edges of the menu (the light orange parts) IMO it's easier on the eye.

This is intended as constructive criticism it’s nothing personal :p

1) The main large image is way to big in size - over 1meg and takes a while to load even on 2meg broadband

2) Change the spinning e-mail logo it looks naff and out of place and it only appears on the main page

3) The header is out of alignment (too far to the right)

4) When you click on home the header and main image appear to realign then revert back

5) On the product information page the left hand table is a different width to that on the right

6) 3,4 and 5 are probably related to the fact you've used tables (so I take it your using FrontPage ;) ) I would advice you not use them

7) I would consider using the same font and size though all pages on site, the odd change is fine but New Times Roman is not the best font to use)

8) You file structure is causing the url to resolve to :

Code:
http://www.nikkinakkinu.co.uk/Page%202%20-%20About%20Us/About%20Us.html

because of the spaces, if you must use 2 separate words use an _ so it will look like this:

Code:
http://www.nikkinakkinu.co.uk/page_about_us/about_us.html

or even better:

Code:
http://www.nikkinakkinu.co.uk/aboutus.html

I hope these comments help, it important when doing a site for businesses that it works properly (does not resize borders/ menus, retains continuity etc.). This link has some very good advice and tips on designing a web site.

As I said the overall design and concept are good if you can retain continuity it will be a very good first effort.

BTW Tested in Firefox 1.5.0.10 and IE 6.0 (SP2)

Ah oops just noticed I made a mistake in point 6) It should have read "related to the fact you've used tables"
