Force user to select drop-down item (1 Viewer)

How do I force a user to make a selection from a drop-down list? (or at least make it glaringly obvious that this is required)

You can make the underlying field in the table required, which would be the most bullet-proof method. You can use Conditional Formatting to highlight the combo until the user makes a selection.
