Have you seen this software? It's amazing! It gives you a clear view right into my kitchen!!! Thankfully, we were both clothed at the time  I can't help but wonder how many people weren't though, at the time their kitchens were photographed!

I don't remember giving permission for them to photograph into my house!!!!

Yeah it's a funny one - there was a bit in the news a while back about people complaining that their faces hadn't been pixeled out... having been photographed coming out of porn shops

So, you have an interest in kitchen design then Ken??

What a pretty mental picture...

So, what do you reckon on the street view thing? Good idea I reckon overall, it's come in handy but they should have put a bit of facial recognition in and blurred everyone out... I think anyway (I think it gets done with number plates)

It's not done with all number plates, I've come across a few that you can read. One of our cars is so distinctive they were wasting their time blotting out the number plate...

I'm not sure, my first thought was that it was a good idea for people looking to purchase new houses, you could see the neighbourhood before you start to look properly. But if you look at Google Earth, that's a nightmare to keep up to date and I think street View will be worse, nice neighbourhoods will become slums, be pulled down and put back to nice neighbourhoods again before they up date it... Or am I just cynical?

You're bang on with the neighbourhood going downhill, just not sure about it coming back up again.... I wonder if it's not auto-blot on the number plates then? Some poor git sitting in a windowless office somewhere with a bunch of pictures and MS Paint....

We're lucky enough to be one of 100 billion or so silver Vectra owners, anonymity guaranteed :)

As I say, distinctive:

Lol. Sadly it wasn't mot'd over the winter, it would have loved all that snow. I took pictures of the snow for it so I could taunt it when we get it back on the road on Tuesday (just passed it's mot again and waiting new tax disc). So, not this weekend, but most certainly next weekend...

A lot of crazy stuff has been pictured by Google and had to be fixed including:

1. A house that was burning to the ground.
2. People flashing the camara.
3. People's faces.
4. Women's personal "massagers" in windowsills???

They will pixelate the inside of your house if you message them. Just remember, outside views from the street are public access, including views into your house, not much that can be done about that. If you want privacy, cover your windows. ;)

I wish I had known ahead of time when they were coming.

I would have put a "Google Sucks" sign on my front lawn.
