Just introducing myself - Hi.
I work in special education and have been exploring access as a means of handling all of the data that we generate - behaviour records, assessment data, plans, risk assessments etc.
We tend to develop a lot of bespoke recording/planning protocols in order to capture the very unique nature of our pupils, off the shelf data products (e.g. online behaviour tracking tools) tend to be aimed more at the mass market and don't provide the facility to fine tune to the degree we would want.
I still regard myself as an access novice - self taught via online videos, forums and a few books. We've been using a split access database for a few years now and it has worked very smoothly, however, I seem to be having a few more issues recently. Hence, I'm taking the plunge and joining a forum in the hope of finding some additional source of database wisdom.
