What are you guys using? I've got Chrome, and I like it a lot.

Haven't tried Chrome yet. I've been using Firefox for a while now.

I have FireFox at home, but am required to use IE at work

I used firefox briefly. I don't remember why I stopped. I love Chrome, its so fast.

Only thing is that it is new, I found 2 bugs. On a laptop, the scroll doesn't work on the touchpad. There is an unofficial patch for that. Also, if I right click and past something, sometimes it deletes that character to the left. Not too big a deal.

I've been on Firefox since the launch of IE7 (hate, hate). I tried Chrome and Safari for Windows, but always go back to Firefox - it's all the plugins that win it.

I love Firefox, that's all I use at home. At work, IE is required.

I'm using Firefox since 2002. Seems that Firefox is safer than IE since it doesn't support Active-X. Furthermore, I like the navigation thru tabs.

Been using Firefox pretty much since it came on the scene, only use IE if I absolutely have to since finding IE Tab for firefox.

I use IE8 and I can't stand it. It takes up to 10 seconds to open a browser window or even a tab and it crashes a few times a day.

try loading toolbars in it. it gets worse.

have you seen this too? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957700/en-us

Wow...I didn't realize it could be uninstalled so easily. I'm glad that Microsoft "cares" about its users.

I really can't understand why MS keeps releasing software that gets worse with each version. Don't they test things to see that it takes 10 seconds to open a browser window whereas Firefox opens instantly? Haven't they tried it enough to see that it crashes regularly? Where's the rocket science?

hey Edward,

you forgot to add these:

*FLOCK
*NETSCAPE
*AOL :D :D :D :D

I take it I am Edward because of my avatar?

Are those browsers even relevant anymore? What is Flock?

[quoteI use IE8 and I can't stand it. It takes up to 10 seconds to open a browser window or even a tab and it crashes a few times a day.[/quote]

Not a problem with Chrome! Opens instantly. When it does crash, it's just a tab, not the whole program.

I find it interesting that Firefox is way ahead here. On the sites I run stats on, IE runs at 60-65%, while it's the reverse here. IE used to be 90%, so Firefox has made great inroads. Does this mean AWF users are ahead of the pack? :p

I think Firefox is more popular with Geeks than with the general population - reason being: they're more likely to have been exposed to discussion about the alternatives, or may have specific needs that Firefox meets more readily than IE, and may understand those needs better than the average bloke on the street.

I think most of the people who use IE never actually made a choice to do so, other than the choice implicit in their purchase of a Windows PC.

I know alot of people I do work for have never heard of firefox. It almost seems to me that unless a "geek" tells someone about firefox they will never use it.

It always turns out that the user ends up liking FF more the IE anyways..

I try not to use IE at all... Just doesn't do it for me...
