Greetings. Dedicated Access user since 1993 (version 1.1) when it was very clunky but showed potential.
Having come from dBaseII/III/+, R:Base (a port to DEC VAX) and Paradox, Access was exciting - especially Form design and Query-by-example.
I now design, renovate and build Access database systems across a range of industries. Too numerous to count the number of Access databases I've been called in to 'renovate' over the years. If there's one downside to the ease with which anyone can hack together a database in Access, it's the fact that 'anyone' can hack together a database in Access. Not complaining - keeps me employed.
Cheers
