Happy New Year from the USA Central Time Zone!

It still sounds like a war zone outside at quarter past midnight. And that is with a moderate rain storm to keep in all but the hardiest of fireworks aficionados.

I used to like to pop a few rounds of fireworks but it gets too messy and after a while it gets too expensive.

I hope everyone had a good New Year's Eve and, however you celebrated, I hope the ensuing headache will go away quickly!

Happy New Years from out west! They set off a pretty nice display downtown here, but private fireworks are illegal due to fire danger. Doesn't stop a few people from doing it.

We have an ordinance against ordnance too, but there are always die-hards. However, we had such a wet Saturday and Sunday that there was little chance of anything outside causing a fire unless it hit an open container of fuel.
