I wish! No, the commonwealth is something completely separate from the UK. Once upon a time commonwealth countries "belonged" to the United Kingdoms of Great Britain or the British Empire, however, we lost our greatness very soon after we lost our Empress. It is difficult for Mr or Mrs Average to go settle in the Channel Islands which still scream that they are British, when it suits. Much the same as Scotland want to do at some point. Fair weather Britian appears to be the way to go, but don't take that literally, we're declaring a drought here just because it hasn't rained in a week!

This is answered in the Link I posted, its just the Britain is a country thing that's wrong, but is almost immediately corrected.

The four mainland Commonwealths are not recognized as Commonwealths by the United States government. They are still States, whether they like it or not.

We do recognize Puerto Rico as a Commonwealth though. Guam, American Samoa, Aermican Virgin Islands, and Mariana Islands are also US territory, but not recognized as Commonwealths or States.

I remember correcting another Briton on the claim of Great Britain no longer being a single entity and that being met with equal indignation.

Feel free to celebrate the fact that your team gets to move to the next round, and have one for me (I am at work for at least 4 more hours).

P.S. Better hope Germany does not win, or else I am told that they will probably be the first team that your team will see in the next round. If they lose, then they will be the first team that the US sees. Either way, I hope for only the best of luck for both teams.

Kevin Rudd has just been dumped by his own party.
He has set a record as being the first Australian PM to not serve the full first term.
He went from record approval ratings to being dumped in his first term.

yet, he publicly announced he had the Best Cabinet (they dumped him), The best Staff and is Proud of what he achieved.

Only a politician can fall in a bucket of *^$@ and come up smelling of roses, think he does:eek:
