Site unuseable during the day GMT

The title says it all, I would be better off watching paint dry.

I will give the site a miss atleast during the day for a while as I have better things to do than waste my time failing to get on or stay on the site.

Yeah, you can actually tell by looking at the posts when the bad time was. All of the duplicate posts as the browsers "hung" while waiting for a response so users just keep hitting the button again and again, or reload their browser. I know I went back and deleted 3 duplicate posts of mine in ONE THREAD because it ended up posting it multiple times.

This site is painfully slow sporadically throughout the day. Worse time is in the morning @ 8am to 10am Eastern USA time. Just getting the main page to the forums [or any pages within] takes forever to load or the pages fail to load with a database error message.

It is highly likely that in the next few days I will be upgrading to a new host that costs 6 times more than my current host. The expected upside for you is hopefully a slightly faster page load and no more times when the forum goes dead slow.

Jon, it is very noticeable, one might term it "lightening fast" I haven't noticed any slowdowns yet, but have only been on since 8 this morning.
