Have you seen the movie? If so, is it worth seeing? Now that I see Mr. Blooms picture, I've seen him before. I just took the kids to see the new Pirates movie and he was in it.

It's okay as long as you don't go into it expecting too much from the story. It's rather far from realistic, for the most part, but who says films always have to be? Sometimes entertainment for it's own sake is fine, too.

The violence is kept to a minimum - considering the subject matter - and isn't particularly gory, as far I remember (it's been a while since I saw it), so it should be okay for kids.

By now, it'll be in the 7 day rental section at your local video store.

...which is why it's called the Spanish Inquisition.

He was taking a poke at the movie "Kindom of Heaven" (I think it was called), which was basically a pathetic attempt to cash in on the success of "Gladiator" by making another crummy period piece. As if "Troy" and "Alexander" weren't enough to clue producers in to the fact that people were interested in the story of Gladiator, not the setting.

And Orlando Bloom is the gorgous hunk of a man who played Legolas in LotR as well as the man character of Will Turner in Pirates of the Carribean.

EDIT: Snarth'd!

I imagine it was for themselves. After all, Jerusalem is just as important - if not moreso - to Christians as it is to Jews.

Thanks Kraj. I don't know if Jerusalem is more important to Christians. My thinking is probably not but then we have to dive in to the Abrahamic covenant to explain that but it is important to Christians that Jerusalem belongs to Israel. At least most Christians.

Don't I know it. ;) (by roughly 2 years 9 months). I mostly switch to local-speak automatically now, in an attempt to avoid confusion.

Sometimes, I still get puzzled looks when I use words like 'car park' (for 'parking lot'), 'pavement' (for 'sidewalk'), 'lift' (instead of 'elevator') and 'take-away' (as opposed to 'take-out'). Not just a gradual dawning 'oh, he means such-and-such', but real stunned stares, as if I'd suddenly started speaking Russian or something.

I couldn't really criticise anybody for wanting to live in Canada except to say that it's too close to the most belligerent country in the world:eek: ;)

This seems some what ironic to me cause Britian, especially England, sent more missionaries out, than any country in history, at one point in time.

Yes the one that thinks it owns the free world and all the rest of it

Ah yes, it's coming back to me now.

Rather pretty flag, modeled on the colours of the Union Jack, if I remember correctly.

I believe there was a film or a television program set in it, wasn't there?

Depends on the definition of the word Christian
You should consider publishing your own dictionary. I'm sure we'd all find it very helpful.

Well it really is very simple, Christians are supposed to have love in their hearts, do you need me to go further or can you figure it out for yourself ?
