I don't log on for one weekend and I come back to find out there's been more drama going on than a christmas episode of eastenders. Shame Bob has felt the need to depart for a while but apart from that no great loss.

Yep same for me too, logged on this morning and I've been thinking WTF ever since.
I really hope everyone who's left comes back and comes back with good intention and we can all move forward and forget the whole thing, or at least put it behind us.

I've been visiting this site from the very early days when Pat was relatively new here, I guess I've learnt a lot from some of the persistent posters here, so I guess his method is bound to have rubbed off

- we all been there, as i am sure you have been - doing a job and being ignored for it - a thank you from other people really does make your day , when ever someone helps me on the forum i always say thanks- and when I have help someone and get a thanks - it really does make me feel good about myself - now I have no where near the knowledge of yourself or others , and I have appricated your help and I hope that I have remember to thank you , but there are those who ask a question , you (or others) give your advise freely and yet you don't get a thumbs up or a response say thanks -

now I think this is plain rude, (hope this does not come accross as me having a pop at someone as I am not) but we have all seen people who don't respond with some kind of thanks -

those who manage the forum (or an IT dept in general) in the background do a job , we are quick to moan about something that goes wrong - but when its running we don't think great it running ok - even though in the background there could be bedlam and forum mods are running there fingers dry resolving issues ..

I would have been right with you up until yesterday. Yes, he banned Col. Col deserved it (no offense Col ). They made up and Col was reinstated. Yay! But Bob has been one of our more helpful longtime members and was also doing a fantastic job of keeping our board spam free.

But then he went on a rampage, altering people's titles, changing polls, reading people's PMs, and then deleted two of our more colorful and longtime members, Rich and Mike375. Not just banned, which could be reversed, he deleted them. That is a horrible abuse of power, and all for what? This is an Access help forum! I mean, get over yourself!
