Beats me why so many are anti American. The English seem to be the most anti American.

More anti-American government than American people generally. I've met loads of nice Americans. Most Americans here are fine.

They have their quirks, but haven't we all? The Aussies are certainly a strange breed, but being so isolated, it's hardly surprising.

So the Yanks may have landed on the moon. . . . . .so what? it gave us Teflon, big deal.
They also gave us world terrorism, world economic instability and the nearest we've been since Cuban crisis to world disruption. They're in the top 2 world polluters.
They get a bit grouchy if you use words they disagree with, but apart from that, they're generally ok in an American sort of way.

I don't have a problem with Yanks (apart from the US government and the big business string pullers)

My first answer was Iceland
and their balanced view on most things is pretty good

as to holland, and any of the nordic countries again all well balanced countries -

when I started down the list to the english speaking countries then I was taking the mickey ..

If Iceland was to investigate say a scandal within the EU or UK - I would be more than happy for them to do this with imparticality (typo)
as I would with New Zealand /Austria - however due to links with the UK
I feel that this would rule them out as being impartical one way or the other

ALSO, how many TONS of supplies did the US send the UK the YEARS before the US entered the war. HONESTLY the UK would not have lasted if those supplies had not been sent.

BUT no one country was the savior, it was a collective effort.

Just like a sports team, you might have one super star but he can't win without the help of his teammates.

this isn't a good arguement .and if taken to extremes I want this and your not big enough to do anything about it then its mine -
that leads to fueling resentment - and you could lead to a situation like that of the middle east -Israel deciding to cut the power to the palistine's because they can..
leads to the palistines retallating back - and you are into a visocus cicle that is very hard to break

But I would bet that if it was for real then the "Iceland" suggester would not advocate Iceland.
