NG, I have decided to consider Adam in the same way I try to look at people in general. I'll put it terms that Adam MIGHT understand, though his ploy of being "dense" to deflect direct or implied criticism has long been exposed.
According to Adam's favorite book, there is the parable of the sower and the seeds. Paraphrasing, ... the question is raised as to why a sower of seeds wastes his seeds on known harsh soil that returns so poorly, when the sower's other fields offer much better results. The answer is that we should accept whatever result we can and should not avoid seeking some value from poor sources. Each field produces according to its nature. To expect otherwise is to be unrealistic. But to totally avoid a poor field wastes the field and gives it no chance to produce value. Like I said, I'm paraphrasing.
I'll leave out the more deeply religious aspects of that segment, but it appears in Matthew 13:1-23, Mark 4:1-20, and Luke 8:4-15.
I think by now we all know what to expect from Adam. He has been warned about the fact that we WILL publicly correct him if he strays. And there is always the hope that one day he actually learns some of the things we try to teach him or demonstrate for him. Yeah, I know, it's a long shot. Heck, that H A R E K R I S H N A poster was incredibly brutal but I continued to engage him until even Jon had enough. If nothing else, I drew him out enough for all to see just how useless he was. And I will continue to draw out Adam until either he learns something or he does something that even puts Jon on full tilt.
