Yes, I should have said Republicans
Sadly, most Republicans aren't bitterly opposed anymore either. One of the many reasons I'm not one of them.

Getting this from the wiki article and stuff ...
Seems it did increase access ....
Code:CRA regulated banks may also inadvertently facilitate predatory lending by financing predatory lenders. They also noted that CRA regulations as it was then administered, failed to penalize banks that engaged in predatory lending
Hmm. The government not regulating its own regulations again.
I will further opine that since it was ACORN and groups like that would be culpable or at least complicit in predatory lending. They fought to get the credit, sued to get the loans, but yet while being involved in the process and pretending to be looking out for the people failed to educate or advise the people to 'not sign that, you're gonna get hosed.'

The one's posting here? I'll ASSUME that you mean
Ken - admits in post 133 that he is ok with a safety net.
George - said way back in post 16 that he had no problem with it.
There are a few others that might be Repulicans, but more likely they're Libertarians - and even then, none of them has even mentioned welfare in the context that you and I have been talking about.
Welfare is the child of the Democrats, so why would anyone that is even remotely opposed to it vote democrat?
No, no, no, Ken,George,TheDoc etc are all opposed to welfare, in their book it's everyman for himself

You obviously can't read, then.
To steal a quote from you:
"Proof, man, proof"
You won't find it in this thread. And I doubt you will anywhere else in the forum.
Ken/George,
Sorry to drag your names into this. I was just trying to show rich that his generalizations are "generally" incorrect.
Believe me, if I didn't like what Rich had to say, I can put him on ignore. Fact is, he's very entertaining (in his utter wrongness).

And truthful as you well know. The Republican ideal is every man for himselfBelieve me, if I didn't like what Rich had to say, I can put him on ignore. Fact is, he's very entertaining (in his utter wrongness).

I like to think of it more like: 'You work hard and smart and you get ahead, you screw off and you eat beans'
And you know as well as I do that all those crying wolf here hate the thought of paying tax to fund a proper healthcare systemI like to think of it more like: 'You work hard and smart and you get ahead, you screw off and you eat beans'
