Hello! I'm new to all the things. I work in live performing arts and am using this um.....slower.....time to learn some new skills so I'm using Access to help streamline some of our production shop processes and inventory management systems at my company. I'm smack in the middle of the desert, so when I'm not working you'd find me outside with my two Corgis, avoiding all the spiky plants on a hike, or tending to my spiky patio plants.

Welcome to the forums! We are the most active Microsoft Access community on the internet by far, with posts going back over 20 years!

Here are just a couple of tips for you:

1. Feel free to ask any question you like, however basic you may feel it is, or even if it has been answered before. Our expert members thrive on helping you out!

2. If you prefer a dark theme to the forums, just go to the bottom left of this forum and click "Default style". You will then see a selection of themes to choose from. I like Shades of Blue. :)

3. If you like any of the answers you get, feel free to click the "Like" link on the bottom right hand corner of the post. If you hover over the Like link, you can even choose the type of smiley.

Above all, hang around here, have fun, learn stuff and join in.

Welcome aboard!

Hi. Welcome to AWF!

Not a fellow Arizonan by chance? Either way, welcome!

Welcome to the AWF. Glad you came on board.

Me too, grew up in the north - a few hours south of canada. a long and winding route dumped me in the desert, but i call it home now. (after 17 years I lose hope of convincing my wife it would be nice to live in the north again, ha)

Welcome!

Yeah, I don't think I could convince my wife to return to this snow/ice/cold if we didn't already live here!

Desert vs. Canadian border/mountain snow is a constant debate in my house too! My partner grew up in the mountains, and we've both lived in states where 6"+ of snow in one storm is common. I'm sure one day we'll be some variant of Snow Birds--ha! It actually snowed here for about half an hour a couple weeks ago (nothing stuck of course, but nice big, fat flakes). One of our Corgis LOVES the snow, and was super excited when we told him it was snowing. Took him outside, and his expression was practically "WTF is this? No, this is not snow, I'm going back in"....and he did.

you must either be in east/north mesa, cave creek, somewhere north of phx, etc, i heard about those flakes too! then the weather man told us not to get excited, that it was 'graupel' or something
