Initially I was worried about Obama being elected but not anymore. In fact if I was an American I would now cast my vote in favour of Obama.

The people like Alisa and others (and not just in America) need an outlet. Of course Obama being elected will make no difference since they will still sit on their arse and complain about how it is all unfair...if only there was social justice and bullshit and bullshit etc. and etc.

BUT, after Obama......they will have had their run.

After Obama has not worked then maybe the Alisas of the world will move on to control their own destiny.

Fortunately, neither of you get a vote. I understand the sarcasm, Mike. I just feel like this vote is too important. I am frankly terrified about what might happen if Obama is elected, and you should be too.

I also appreciate the apparent flip-flop and the sarcastic parody. It speaks well to how poorly the American people make a decision and stick with it.

They did it with drilling on American soil. They did it with the war on terror. They did it with Bush and his approval ratings. They did it with the economy. And they did it with who their pick for political office will be. The fact is, the American people can't seem to see more than a couple of minutes into the future, as indicated by their constantly flip-flopping views on these important topics (until they get their next fix from the New York Times, NBC, CNN, or SNL)...baffling.

He has no experience whatsover. He appears to be "all talk" and no substance. He reminds me of a "ladies man" in a bar that will say anything to a girl just to get her number, but when preesed for an origional opinion-he has no spine.

Given the age of McCain it is not impossible that he will die in office and then Sarah Palin would become president. This does not seem to enthuse many americans. Obama seems to have gone for a safer pair of hands.

In fact, everybody makes mistakes, whether I voted for them or not.

The point is, some people have a resolve that makes them good leaders, though seemingly makes them less popular. Others (on both sides of the political aisle) follow whatever the rest of the sheep are doing or whatever public opinion tells them to think. This is not leadership.

Apparently god himself could endorse Obama and some people would still complain. Fortunately it doesn't really matter what you think.

First of all, working to get the right candidate elected IS taking my destiny into my own hands, and second of all, the whole point of Obama getting elected is to foster an environment that is favorable for people like me to succeed, unlike the environment created by the current administration.

The current administration is like a really bad doctor. Not only does it not "do no harm", it is positively dangerous to my health. Not only does it not cure the disease (i.e., fails to impose and enforce reasonable regulation), it actually causes additional diseases by redistributing MY "wealth" to those who are much wealthier than me, by starting unnecessary wars, by interfering with my rights, and so on and so forth.

Sounds like all the republicans I know who complain, if only there were fewer regulations and lower taxes, if only there were greater income inequality and less help for the poor. It doesn't actually matter what I think - I can't vote in that election. But it will be a major shock if Obama doesn't win on 4th November so I guess the world is going to have to live with that.
