He did absolutely nothing is what he did. He sat back and let whatever just happen. He pushed to make laws that disallowed the CIA from doing things that would have prevented most of what is happening in Iraq and Afganistan today. Clinton followed in his footsteps in doing the same thing. Between the two of them they have destroyed the CIA and everything that it could do.

Which laws are we talking about?
 
Mainly the ones that made it illegal for the CIA to assassinate people who they determined to be a current or future threat to national security.

All in all Jimmy Carter was a nice guy, he just wasn't a good president. People could relate to him because he wasn't a typical rich politician; he was a peanut farmer.
 
He was elected because people were looking for a change from the nixon crew...
 
He did nothing productive that is. This "good guy" is the reason we are in a full out war right now instead of these people just dying semi-mysteriously and nobody ever knowing the difference.
 
He has been touted as being the best ex-president we ever had though...
 
By who? I've never heard anybody except extreme left liberals say anything remotely resembling that.

There were never any terrorists there before Bush invaded the place and what's going on there now is a civil war started because Bush and America couldn't mind it's own bloody business. Anyway the evidence that the country's full of terrorists is as reliable as that for WMD, it's fabricated in a feeble attempt by Bush and his cronies to justify an illegal and unjust war:mad:

If you are implying that I am not educated and cannot think for myself then you are sorely mistaken. I can see things the way they are and I don't need the liberal media from England or anywhere else to tell me I'm right or wrong. As I said before, if you don't believe that Iraq was and always has been a terrorist harboring nation then you can hold that opinion. I will tell you that it is wrong and that is my opinion. So quit getting mad and blowing off about things that know nothing about.

By the way, if I recall correctly, it was Tony Blair who started the WMD thing in the first place.

It would appear that Kinger43 wants the US to be able to murder anybody that might be a future threat. If his lot ever get in power you had better watch your back as with your critiscism of the US they will probably see you as a future terrorist.

My evidence lies with the fact that these people have been in a war killing innocent people left and right in the middle east for thousands of years. If we had finished the job the first time we went we wouldn't need to be there now anyhow. What Hussein did to the Kurds was terrorism at its finest.
 
And yes, I am all for the CIA watching persons of interest in other countries by any means necessary and using common sense and human intuition to know when a person is going to become a problem for the US in the next few years and offing them.

The only thing that Hussein did as far as the mighty US is concerned was to take the piss out of them and for that countless tens of thousand innocent Iraqis have paid with their lives, what a great country the mighty US is under Bush's rule:rolleyes:
