Also, the "lunatic who scribbled in a book" must have been pretty lucky to predict so many things that have come true already and schools out on the ones to come. Something like 600 prophecies of Jesus birth over something like a 800 year time span and they all came true, to give one example.
And yet, Jews do not believe he was the Messiah. If the prophecies written in their holy book came true so definitively, why would they not believe?

How many sons did god father for christs sake?
Doesn't the bible say we are all the children of god?

How come this Jesus person is so say born in the middle east, yet is always portrayed by (Europeans and) Americans as a white caucasion with blue eyes and browny / blond hair?
Because they want to relate him more closely to themselves... if we were made in god's image, then his earthly embodiment must look like us?

Actually reminds me of something my mother-in-law said... she was at our place & we were watching some doco on human evolution, you know, "the missing link" sorta thing, which was saying this is what our ancestors looked like.
She says "well I don't know about the people who made this show, but MY ancestors were Adam & Eve, and they looked just like you & me".
I don't know how she explains the various other skin colours etc... or are they not god's children?

Way too long and difficult to explain but actually that was one of the prophecies of the Old Testament, prophecing about his birth. "He came to His own but His own received Him not." According to prophecy for end times they will recognize Him as their Messiah. I guess we just have to wait and see if that day comes.:)

Is this one of your merry-go-round tactics that your good at? 1/3 are left cause IF God did not put an end to it then man would wipe himself out.

Yes but i thought god watches everything we do and, if it was so bad then why did he not stop it earlier? I dont believe god would do such a thing, he lets us do what we want even if we do wipe out selves out. Someone so powerfull would have created us perfect and a exactly the way he wanted us to be knowing what we would do and what lies ahead.

Part 1: Not "was so bad" is going to be that bad. Keep in mind this is prophecy so it hasn't happened yet.:) God does watch everything and obviously God does allow man to exercise his free will but that does not mean He sits back and lets us do any and all things. Man wiping his self out is something He has decided to not to allow to happen. Bear in mind that end time prophecy is about punishment also.

As far as creating man perfect. He did. Remember Adam and Eve. Perfect in the beginning but sinned against God. When they did man fell and was no longer perfect.

Its more punishment for half the population to be wiped out than the whole lot. if we are all dead then there is nothing to fear and feel. Where as, if half of us are dead then all the rest would still have fear of death and have to put up with the gigantic loss.

How did that happen, did they have incestual sex with each other?

Good point. Not one that I have thought of before. There really is a whole lot more to the prophecies than the little bit we are talking about here. It's kind of like trying to tell you about a jigsaw puzzle by showing you one piece of it. I don't blame folks for hearing or looking at this and saying this has to be the biggest fairy tale ever created however with that being said, I do believe that the Bible and the things contained in it has proven themselves to be accurate over and over again and for me I think the evidence is overwhelming as to what it says is true so if things in the past have happened as it said it would then why wouldn't things in the future happen as it says it will.

Does it say when this prophecy will happen?

Not specifically. We discussed earlier today some of this. The Bible says that "no one knows the day or the hour" however, in Matthew, Jesus told His disciples about His return and they asked the same question as you and His answer was "just as you see the fig tree blooming and know that spring is on the way, so will it be when the Son of Man returns." I believe what he was saying is, your not going to know the day but you will be able to look around you, see the signs of the prophecies and know that it has to be close. Many theologians believe that this generation, more than any other, has seen more of these signs start to take place. Some of these signs, that have already happened, have a time line to them.

Well the only signs i see lead to the fall of america, just like rome. The end of the world well thats somthing gravely different, I do believe we have some stupid politics in this world but i think that even they will think about the impact their decision will have on the world before going ahead and doing it. Korea and america have alot of bombs but they only use them to make themself feared and have greater power over other countries. Also global warming may be growing but oil is also decreasing and technology will be there to counter it.

Fall of America. Could be. Bible prophecy really doesn't have much to say about America and I find that odd, cause what Bible prophecy does center around is Israel. America has always supported Israel. Why there would be no mention of her coming to their defense leads me to believe we are not here, have fallen, something. All the end times wars that breakout are attacks on Israel.

Getting very late here so I better get some sleep. Good chatting with you and I'm sure we'll cross paths again. Have a goodin'.:D

The Bible doesn't mention America because this great book of "the future" didn't know it existed, or the rest of the World for that matter.
As for America "always has supported" Israel, it's not for some altruistic reason but because of the Jewish vote back home.
How wrong would the bible be if the Jews had been given Uganda as their homeland?

OK, another can of worms for this thread (like it needs it... ;))

Creation vs Evolution. Discuss. :p

Can you please not change my quotes to suit your own end.
We have enough problems here getting the point across to the Americans as it is without an Antipodean coming along and changing the quotes.

If you wish to change my comment then protocol would dictate you ask first as a matter of politeness.

Hers's some news for you Shane - America is not the be-all and end-all in the world, I know that you all think you're earths rulers - thats why you're the most hated country on the planet.
However, it may be true to say that America will be the end of the world - all brought about by a religious freak in the white house.
