So is this something like fantasy football?

FoRe!#?$?!?

First of all, let me apologize to you for not directly answering your question from before about "GML" but for good reason...with the various nefarious characters here, it's just not something I want to share because of the misuse by others...sorry, but a few bad apples DO ruin the bunch in this case...

Anyway,

: No...my league is the REAL thing and has represented the greatest ranges of people, competitions, and skills!

I'm so honored and proud of everyone who have played year after year and it's a testament to good people that it has been stronger every season!

Everyone is handicapped off of my (+2) handicap and it's fair for all players at all levels; from various tee boxes, various slope ratings, many different courses, and of course, each player's handicap, which I assist with during our play with private lessons while I play because I want everyone to improve and enjoy their game!

I'll leave the "fantasy" to others...:D

And you have had all (or some) of those celebrities you listed in a former post actually playing golf in your tournament(s)?

At least once, over the course of the past ten years, yes!

Others not mentioned, joined our league play while we were playing because they were in the group ahead or behind us and wanted to know what that cool "GML BELT" was all about!

Some found out the hard way by losing some cash!?#?$#?$! but all in good fun!!!

Hopefully this coming season, we'll play a full benefit tournament with the entire Denver Broncos organization!

New 2007 Gml Sponsor/partner!!!

Hey gang!

Great news...I just signed on a new full season sponsor/partner!

MING'S DYNASTY has agreed to come on board full time; very grateful for their PT sponsorship in past season's, but now, full time!

Every tournament in 2007 will feature special MING'S DYNASTY restaurant coupons for everyone for a FREE entree for all GML Members!

And Ming's will be hosting our season-ending banquet!

So practice up until the snow starts flying! - As you know, I play golf until the snow is too deep to find my ball so if you'd like lessons or just want to get together to play, let me know!

One last shot at winning the GML World belt this weekend...good luck!

City Park G.c.

Here's some pointers about the course we're competing at this weekend and how to play it:

Summary:

Very small greens on the front nine. You don't want to be over any of the first four greens so play short to protect your score.

We are still playing SUMMER rules, so no changes to your ball in the fairway, unless it rains a lot Friday night but it's not supposed to...

The C-T-P championship will be contested on holes 4, 7, 12, and 16. If there is no winner after hole #16, all players can hit one extra ball on #16 and the closest shot to the hole will be the winner of the Carbon Blue Wedge!

Take a little extra time looking for each other's ball in the rough because there will be a lot of leaves all over...don't forget your cameras because this is the best time of year to see Fall Colors!

DETAILS:

Hole#1 - 400 - Protect against OB on your left; plenty of room on the right so favor it and remember the rough on the front is very playable! Small Green!

Hole#2 - 325 - Protect against OB on your left; plenty of room on the right so favor it and remember the rough on the front is very playable! Smallest Green! - Driveable for the big guns...advantage...$$$...

Hole#3 - 525 - Protect against OB on your left; plenty of room on the right so favor it and remember the rough on the front is very playable! Great undulating Green! - Eagle/Birdie hole minimum...advantage...$$$...

Hole#4 - 215 - Protect against OB on your left; plenty of room on the right so favor it and remember the rough on the front is very playable! Small Green! - Tough par 3 and remember par here has won a skin before...

Hole#5 - 305 - Protect against trees on your left and OB on the right; Very small Green! - Driveable for the big guns...big advantage for drawers of the ball...$$$...

Hole#6 - 365 - Protect against OB and trees on your left and lateral water on the right; Very small Green! - Dangerous green...difficult to read and very undulating...par is great here...

Hole#7 - 225 - Longest par-3 and very tough! Protect against trees on your left; Very small Green! - Don't go long here or double and worse is open...perfect for hybrid clubs...

Hole#8 - 315 - Wide open but don't lose control or you can give this easy hole away fast! Very small hard Green! - Play your approach short if the pin is close to the front. Driveable for the big guns...big advantage...$$$...last time, TAW missed an ACE on this par-4 by a foot!!!

Hole#9 - 365 - Very long, very straight hole. Protect against trees on your left and right; Very small Green! - Par here almost always wins a skin!

Hole#10 - 595 - Protect against huge trees on your right and OB; Giant green! Watch the three putts here! - Never have seen an eagle here...a birdie is almost guaranteed skin money!

Hole#11 - 565 - Protect against lateral water on your right; Giant undulating green! Watch the three putts here too! - A birdie is almost guaranteed skin money here but not always!

Hole#12 - 125/165 - Remember your tee assignments here: High handicapper's can tee off from either box. Low handicappers must use the back tee box! Wild green with an elevation difference of twenty feet from back to front! Careful putting here...!

Hole#13 - 355 - Wide open...except for that fairway bunker! The hole is over if you go in there! Risk/reward...think about your round and shots on the day before firing here...

Hole#14 - 360 - Protect against OB on your left. One of the very small greens on the back! Don't go over this green! Par usually wins $$$ here...

Hole#15 - 325/380 - Remember your tee assignments here: High handicapper's can tee off from either box. Low handicappers must use the back tee box! Careful of the two sand bar bunkers at the bottom of the hill because they are driveable! Another small green...birdie here is easy $$$...TAZ eagled last time!

Hole#16 - 210 - Very tough Par-3 especially late in the day. So straight it's scary so control your ball. Short front is best. Protect against shots to the right. Smallest green on the course so if you're on, you're almost done!

Hole#17 - 560 - Last chance for Par-5 $$$...uphill approach to a huge flat green. Protect drive against OB on the left (range). A birdie is almost guaranteed skin money here but not always!

Hole#18 - 405 - Great finishing hole! Protect against top part of range on your left (OB) and forest on the right. Giant undulating green! Watch the three putts here too! - One of the great finishing holes in all of Colorado!

Good luck! Have Fun! Be Safe! and...you want the BELT,...come and get it!!!:D

Yes Rich, we are all VERY WELL AWARE of your complete and total lack of competitiveness, class, patience, stability, and overall tolerance of people and things but thanks yet again for confirming perfectly what I've already shared with all of my golf league members...at least you're (in)famous!?#?$?!:D ;)

Take care...now, go back to bed sunshine!?#:p

There are several here on this forum but don't worry, you'll always be our favorite... although Col is a really close second...:D

...and at least it seems, another one of our favorites has begun to unwind a little bit and even offered his opinion admitting that he's not always correct...progress...very cool...

Hey, before we know it, we'll actually be able to talk to you guys as people instead of cartoons!?#?$?!

Either way, we have fun; playing golf, eating steak, our only concerns in this thread!!!

I'll ask you again and put it in simple English so that you can understand, by the term "our" who are you representing ?

Now, back to regularly scheduled GOLF!!!

Anyone needing to brush up on there two-man team playing strategies, let me know because at this course we're playing this weekend, it definitely benefits those with a plan of attack, as far as this side competition goes...

You're on your own when it comes to trying to win the GML BELT from me!

Nah, just kidding. If I can help you with a shot; showing you how to hit from over the greens or out of the hazards, I will because you still have to pull off the shot and when it counts, you will or you won't...

Casey had a great idea about a SUPERSKIN$ on hole #16; if no one won it earlier so, we'll do that and I'll kick in an extra $20 for anyone who beats me!:D

Make a picture and I'll post it here!...see you all Saturday!

Rich...

Hey guy, I hate to break it to you but as amazing as I'm sure it would be to you and your brood, everything in the forum is not intended or offered for you or your opinion so your responses are less than necessary or needed because they simply don't matter...

I will say that we are getting a genuine riotous laugh out of you though!!!

...priceless...do stay tuned for my friends cartoon rendition of you because I'm sure it will be well worth the wait!!!:D

Who's Casey, someone in your head? I know Golf is so boring it can drive you mad, I guess the proof of the pudding's here for all to see
