Am I missing something?

Just registered to make comments (US election) on the BBC website

Its moderated, but moderators inspect postings BEFORE posting them, and it seems to be running about 90 minutes behind. (on the US Election thread)

And it says not every submission gets posted

And then it limited me to 2 submissions

BBC censorship or what?

Or is this normal for this sort of thing?

Might be a few less readers here, but at least you can have a sensible real time conversation.

Yep, 90 minutes is a bit long but there's always a delay on the BBC. Strange how the censor Joe public but let their DJ's say what they like lol.

It was like that that on all discussion boards of the BBC before they closed them. It stops blatant trolling, abusive language, spamming, and the like. They probably only have a handful of employees spare to moderate, hence the delay.

Given the quality of a lot of the posts on the BBC it's no great loss if there is a delay
