Welcome to the big 50 Bob Larson, I was retired early from my first job after 30 years at that age the company deciding that at that age we were too old to learn new tricks.!!

Brian

Thanks Brian. I hope I still have some new tricks in me (my job hired me on as permanent two weeks ago after 32 months on a 6 month contract-to-hire position). I am expected to learn BI Publisher (Oracle) and C# as well. I'm sure I can but it is strange to start learning something new all over again.

As for retirement, I don't see that happening for me as I was not able to put money away for that. Stupid, I know, but simply a reality.

Happy Birthday!

Hi Bob,
Í see that I'm 1 day late on congratulating you.
From Holland I send you a big "Gefeliciteerd".
Hope you had a good one, and many many more to come.

Hey Bob

Congratulations on your big 50. Hope you enjoyed the day.

Keep up the good work. All the best to you and your family.

Best Wishes.

Bob,
Remember old people learn by daily repetition. So if come back and read this every day, you should be ok.

Happy Birthday Bob. 50s a big one.

Happy Birthday Bob!

Now, Somethings about turning 50!

The nickname,"Old Timer"
The cute way you run out of breath climbing stairs
The yearly prostate exams
Everybody making allowances for your mental "lapses"
Exploring soft foods
I could go on and on, but I see your attention span is very short

Hi Bob

I don't know you personally, but I have read many of your posts in various forums and learned a great deal from them. So I should like to wish you belated good wishes for this birthday and wish you many more to come.
Getting older isn't all bad news. With age we gain experience and wisdom :).

Thanks Vassago, cookiegary01, RainLover, Thales750, Stopher, Jacob, and Bob. Had some great pizza on my birthday.

Happy Birthday Bob. All the best.

Happy Belated, Bob. Sorry I missed it but I haven't been around for a few weeks. Pizza sounds wonderful!

Thanks Mark (hope I got that right lagbolt. If I didn't, my apologies.), Cindy, and Ray.

50.... well that certainly is time for a beer......
Best wishes

Gary

Happy Birthday and have no fear. Contrary to popular opinion, you can learn things after 50.

Sorry for the late reply but hope you had a good 50th.

Chris.

50 eh? A mere child.

Wait 'till you grow up and see how tough it gets.

Col

Bob,
Thanks for all your help! You've helped me out a great deal numerous times and I really appreciate all your hard work to help the rest of us out.

Happy Belated Birthday to you...

I passed 50 a few years ago. I hope I am still learning. Our organization is getting more involved with BI and dashboards. I have spent the past year trying to become an Xcelsius expert (SAP is changing the name with the next release of Business Objects).
