Howdy all,
I'm John and I have been using Access since version 2.0. I like the ease of use and the multi functional aspects on it.
I have written many applications that use access and I am constantly improving them. Making them more versatile and portable.
I did attend an Access school in Redmond, WA back in 96 and that is what really hooked me onto it.
I am by no means an expert. My focus is Information Security but I build access applications that can support those roles.
From importing DLP emails, Pinging Hosts to see what is online and not online, Converting PDFs to Word, adding headers and footers and back to PDF. (Yep that can be done via Access) I do a lot via Access to support my security endeavor to make the information meaningful that I receive on a daily basis.
I have used this site for insights on how better to do code and labeling. And most recently a progress bar. (IslaDog code helped greatly)
So, I thought I would join and maybe be able to contribute.
John
