Apparently, when the server is slow the emails back up. They should revert to normal if what they tell me is true.

I just (6:40 PM or so) got 4 emails that supposedly were on the AWF early this morning.

My broadband connection has been down for two days. Only just got back up and running. I am still looking at solving the speed issue. Cannot find what is causing it yet.

At some point today (2 hours ago maybe?) everything went back to normal speed for me.

Issue resolved. It was a plugin that showed search engine spider activity and it slowed this site down massively.

Ah! I asked what there were when they first started appearing recently, but the site did not seem to slow down immediately thus making the connection not obvious.

Glad it's resolved and all ok now.

What the hell is happening today, sometimes it's flying, then it will freeze, then Safari can't find the server, all other Internet connections fine, it's so erratic it's impossible to concentrate.

I refreshed the form at 11:48 AM today morning, then it did not load up, finally closed down my browser, cleared my cache, still no luck.. Then tried again at 12:40 PM, it worked..

Aware of the problem and need to find the cause - again.

I am finding that the AWF site is extremely slow today. I have found it slow in the past and have seen a number of intermediate sites that represent various advertising.
The AWF site has been much better for a while, but a couple of weeks ago people were commenting on the speed improvement. I saw no improvement at that time. But today is absolutely the slowest I have encountered.

I know it's being worked on, but felt I should comment.

I've added an extra CPU but its still not as fast as it usually is. My host said that was the problem, so we added another CPU. However, its still not as fast as it should be. I'm starting to run out of ideas.

Sounds pretty drastic to have to add an extra CPU and receive no improvement.

I dare say you did not gain 10,000 active members either.

We just added another 2 CPU's just to make the site more usable (i.e. an extra 3 CPU's today)! Those 2 extra are only temporary until we find a solution. We have an idea as we identified a couple of things and will be running a test. Hopefully it is the cause of the problem. Maybe know in a day or two.
