You are a Racist, a Bigot and a Sexist.

I haven't got time to take you to task on your other comments as I am preparing to go walking , but you disparagingly call me "youngster" , well at 71 I do not consider myself old , but doubt that many would call me a youngster, you however hide behind complete anonymity, no age , no place of residence.

I would add that age does not guarantee intelligence, or knowledge, the fact that I am twice Vassago's age does not mean that I am right and he is wrong, but our different experiences will colour our views.

If you are only 71 how come you are retired. :D

It does make it difficult to debate with a person when you don't know what nationality they are. But if you ask then you are a Racist.

These days there is a racist for everything lol. born 1940 live in southern U.S> Tennessee. Gave you hits (RedNeck Hillbilly). I have already been retired twice from regular work but still a farmer. (sheep).
As far as my intellegence goes, I would say it is average and my past knowledge is just that, past. I do not believe that everything you get off the internet has to be true....Not looking for a French model lol (a Joke). I guess I should really just keep my pie hole shut.

Hope this helps

Now you can take me to task, I'll try to answer.

Have a Nice Day :)

I'll get over it. :)

I see from your potted biography that you are a year older , but I could not work out which war you would have been through, too late for the Korean and too early surely for the Vietnam , you would be 25 when the troops went in.

Brian

Edit I am assuming , don't know why , that you did not pursue a career in the forces but were a draftee, and then again I don't know what age that covers, but let's not let facts get in the way of this discussion. ;)

You know how busy you are when retired , you are not just idling your life away sitting at a computer and therefore able to visit these sites like the "workers".

Now to the point , you said that you live according to the 10 commandments and quoted thou shalt not kill, but then defended gun ownership by saying that nowhere did the bible say that you cannot defend you family. Therefore it seems to me that what you are saying is that if a commandment does not list exceptions you can make them up to suit , whereas I would think it means that there are none.

Yes and in a couple of weeks, the hay will be ready to cut and bale, then I will be doubly busy. Since you and I "grew" up with the computer age, we have seen the good points and the bad points the computer has brought to society. One of the worst I think, is the mind numbing time a person can spend on one, either in work or play. Now days, since I have retired for the third time (you can not retired from farming, it just will not let you go), I have a little more time but sometimes I do get busy and cannot respond as quickly as I would like to.

I understand to some extent where you are coming from because I have asked myself that question many times and have come up with the same answer. It is stated in the Bible that suicide is an unforgivable sin. Yet in the event you sacrifice (suicide) your life to save another life would it be considered still an unforgivable sin? It is obvious that murder is against the commandments but does killing a-would be-murderer to save another or sometimes countless lives fit into that category of "Thou Shalt Not Kill"
I like others do not know and will not know until I die, the book of life is opened and my sins revealed. Only then will I know the truth.

Back in the old days, a man and his better half could live out their life in a county sized area (25 mi.). Now days it is hard to do mainly because of the internet. Having studied microbiology (bacteriology) extensively, I have had the opportunity to see life at its most simplest form and yet for all our complexity, we live and die in much the same way. The only difference is the bacteria, viruses, etc. are not sentient.

I will tell you, that I enjoy shooting guns in target practice, tournaments and hunting. It is much like golf where there is always a factor that keeps you from getting perfect scores. Sometimes it is downright humiliating and always humbling. If you think putting five shots in a quarter inch hole at 100 yards is easy, think again. Also, here in Tn. we hunt deer, turkey, squirrel, rabbit, etc.. No, I do not waste it but rather feed my family with it. It is better than some of that stuff you are eating in the grocery stores. Protection is the last thing I would use a gun for against another human being. But use it I would, if NEEDED!

In most cases "only a good guy with a gun can stop a bad guy with a gun". You say--Oh, well, the police can stop them. Yes, they have guns, and also have the same questions as you and I do.

It would be helpful if I had a "potted biography" of you as well?

Hope you have a nice day :)

I believe in the statement "Live and let live." If someone needs help, give it. It doesn't matter who or what that person is. Humans are humans. We all put pants on the same way, one leg at a time. I was raised a Christian, but when I was in college I had no God. Some Christians have money as their God. There's no discrimination there. Yet the minute you mention an Eastern religion, all hell breaks loose. Humans have the right to choose their religion, so why all these crappy discriminating words? As long as no person is being harmed by my choice, no one has a right to challenge that choice. If I choose to have sex as my God, that's my business, not yours.

I had a great laugh at the typical American comments above.

They are just too ridiculous to even contemplate a reply.

Typical? Ridiculous? Your reply may be considered snobbish, but definitely not racist, bigot, or sexist.

I usually try to jump into my pants as it gives some kind of challenge element to an usually mundane task.

So no we all don't put our pants on one leg at a time.

Last time I heard of that happening, the pants were so stiff----WHY? Because the pants were all they had and never washed them. Very Stinky

New Zealand just passed both laws - gay marriage and legalized marijuana.

The fact that gay marriage and marijuana were legalized on the same day makes perfect biblical sense because Leviticus 20:13 says,

"If a man lies with another man they should be stoned."

We just hadn't interpreted it correctly before!

That's the trouble with the holy texts they just aren't written clearly.
