For the last few years and especially the last couple of years I have noticed that most of my typos are caused by having the last two or three letters in a word out of order.

So I type "thirts" or "requirmenst" with s and t being very common. In most cases I notice it immediately after I have typed the word.

It never happend with number such as typing out phone numbers etc.

Does anyone else have this sort of thing happen?

I do, but I think it's just a fingers-getting-too-quick-for-their-own-good problem. If it was dyslexia, you wouldn't notice it when you looked back at it (it would look fine to you).

I just did again on a post..commenst for comments:D

Your ring finger is just sitting on that "s", waiting for the forefinger to lift up and go hit that distant "t", but it gets impatient and just goes for it. :p

Yep your screwed :D

Seriously as per baldy I do it as well - I also often add the first letter of the next word onto the word I'm typing, I like to think (hope) my brain is running very fast :p

I work with a guy who is dyslexic and that exactly what happens with him.

On a related note I've noticed my hand writing is appalling now, it wasn't great in the first place* but now I can hardly read it - seriously. The keyboard seems to be king.

*Thanks (I believe) to being forced to write right handed when I was naturally left handed

That's what I keep telling myself too!

PS: I love that movie, have it at home.

Looks like Minkey's copy/paste fingers work pretty fast too! :D

I get that plenty of times.

I guess it is either the brain running fast or the start of arthritis:D

I reckon Col Essex was primed to jump on this thread to explain it was only an Australian and American problem but you pommies appearing have ruined that:eek:

Wouldn't dream of such a thing - I think it affects us all from time to time.

It could be an age thing. Or obviously, if you were female then you could blame it on the fact that women are always thinking of buying shoes or handbags, their mind is seldom on the job they are doing.

It happens to me more than it used to.

But hey, have you ever noticed that People Magazine always has an old guy as the sexiest man alive.

I think it is a case of the brain being as active as it ever was but the nreves and fingers are not so good and hence the letters sometimes get kumbled or jumbled as teh case may be.

In my case of course it is the brain speed still increasing and teh rwest of the body just cannot cope with the never ending speed increase. Due for a chip upgrade any time now

See what I mean

:D The forum (for me anyway) was so slow last night I double posted by accident BTW all my fingers can work fa.......erm nevermind :p

yeah . but whats my excuse ....

Mine is down to speed (as the post seems to lead that way )

when i do a press /marketing release - I just go for the flow of information-idea put it all down 600-700 words etc

then i pass it to a friend of mine - who spell checks it /grammer correction - as i cannot see a mistake that i have made- but can see someone elses quickly .

mind you with my spelling - there is a lot of correction

but thats not my field - mines the spark that sets the idea off - other then have to tidy up the little gem that i have created

I swear to dog it is lysdexia!

This thread reminds me of a poster that I saw in an office where I worked last year.

For those of you who don't want to concentrate so hard,
I will be generous and write the rest in a normal format. As of yet,
I have not been able to find the information to stand behind this statement.
However, it is my personal opinion that at least in this case, that doesn't matter.

If you understood the statement, it arepaps to be ture!
