That's what I've heard and heard.....and heard....and heard.:D

Its funny how you dont hear much about australia considering our pm is like best friends with americas president, and we are building nuclear power stations just because bush said so. Anyway back to relgion... has anyone seen the movie the "Skeleton Key"? because that kind of explains what i think religion is.

Not yet we're not! Little Johnny wants to, but last I heard, power/nuke companies want "bipartisan support" (which isn't there at the moment) and would be looking at a time frame of "at least" 10 years away.

In fact, they just gave a grant to construct a big solar plant! :D

(besides... if Bush said it, it would be "nucular" power :p )

I really don't why they should be singled out but they are. God has said they are His chosen people. As far as American wasn't bothered in WWII all I can do is tell ya if you say so, but since WWII America has been their ally.
I see, so the rest of us are irrelevent then, whats the point in that case of worshiping this "loving" father?
Anyway I thought Jehovah witnesses were the chosen ones ?

No offence meant... I did put it in brackets & italics to try & differentiate it from the rest. I've seen similar done before.
Maybe I should have made it more obvious it was a modification of the original. Bold? Underlined?
or just add a rider to say you've changed the quote

My point was, the Americans didn't start the depiction of JC as white, it had been done for centuries by the church in Europe.
I wonder what would happen if Jesus was depicted as being black. That would cut the number of followers in the USA quite dramatically I should imagine - especially in the southern states

I find that hard to believe because I should imagine Bush (like most Americans) has no idea where Australia is.
I read a US survey a while back and something like 70% didn't know where Europe was. (can't find the ref)

Remember the "world" to the USA is 2 countries (as in the world series)

unless you can be hypocritical, look down on others, lead a double life and be brainwashed, lose track of reality etc

Nah...someone knocked on their door and told them they were:rolleyes:

Sorry Shane, I was going to poke and prod yesterday but got sidetracked with work...perhaps another time:) I think I'll exercise the better part of valor and keep my comments out of this one for a while:eek:

In many, very popular, “southern’ churches he is, shown to be black.

Will you never learn any thing about us?

He said southern churches, last time I checked Black Americans living in the south are actually Americans

So if a black church has a black Christ, and it’s in America then as usual another chalk up for the red, white, and blue.

But our British correspondences are SO dense they will never conceded defeat.

You two morons (Col and Rich) remind me of Monty Pythons “just a flesh wound” that must be some kind of British religion. It was so ingrained in your culture that it has become one of the most recognizable British one liners.

Never say die huh? Well that's commendable, but as I have tried to point out to you two for the last years or so, we kicked you out some 230 ago and we rekicked you off 194 years ago, its done, get over it.

Stop being jealous of us.

Your post is helping me to move on, because it’s obvious that spending time here has become a terribly negative influence in my life.
I'll tell you what I've learned Jennifer - I've learnt that Americans can't make their minds up. Twice now you said you were leaving, but you are still here:rolleyes:

are you going or not Jenny? we don't know whether to have a collection or not.

and where's Kenny babe - has he gone? being a mod to stressful I s'pose:rolleyes:

And by the way, you read it right, I said morons. If the shoe fits wear it. If you don’t like it say something smart for a change…

Hmm

Ok say something not stupid, how’s that.

Naw, I’m just kidding. I’m actually in a good mood this morning, in spite of taking my girlfriends keys with me when I took my daughter to school. Oh wow, what a bummer that was.

Daniella - calling someone by their name is not the same as calling someone a "moron" - maybe it is in the USA:cool:
