A bunch of Republicans took up a rather large collection for him.
Yeah but the minister at the church where the collection was held kept a larger slice for himself

I like your analogy since the minister represents the government in this little spread the wealth story.

You're showing you still have the ability to get the story wrong. No church involved...it is being done by an author. http://preview.ethanspaperproducts.com/george/
Who's the author, how do you know he's not a minister, how do you know that it's Republicans donating, and what the hell does the fact that Obama is wealthier than his brother have to do with the price of fish? I'm wealthier than my sister, it doesn't make me gloat over the fact like a Republican, I might as well offer as proof of racism by McCain by stating the fact that his ancestors kept slaves and he therefore hates blacks:rolleyes:

Ya know ... maybe he won't socialize anything. I've often heard that charity starts at home, but this guy apparently won't do anything for his own blood (including whatever uncle or cousin it was living in a mud hut somewhere).

How much of your money do you give to your Uncles, Aunts,Cousins, second cousins twice removed, Uncle Tom Cobly and all?

It was his great grandson( George III) who lost the american colonies approx 60 years later.

He didn't lose them, we didn't want them anymore;)

Who's the author,

Not pertinent. For your purposes, you can be sure that he doesn't like Obama. I'm not trying to keep it from you, I just don't know because I really don't care that much. I provided a link...you do the research if it really matters to you (see my comment about not caring, which I'm sure you'll distort for your own purposes). It seems to be much more important to you than it is to me.

how do you know he's not a minister,

I don't need to know that since ministers are people, too, though I don't believe he is. I, on the other hand, am an ordained minister and don't believe it affects my ability to make my views known or to support one candidate over another.

how do you know that it's Republicans donating,

I don't really. Could be Dems too. (either case, I stand corrected) I just heard it on a radio show that most Democrats probably wouldn't enjoy. And I can guess through the way the guest was talking that he's definitely not a Democrat, though he could easily be from some other party.

and what the hell does the fact that Obama is wealthier than his brother have to do with the price of fish?

You tell me. I didn't say it did. You tried to manufacture some nonsense about me making claims because I clarified a point for someone else, like you usually do.

I'm wealthier than my sister, it doesn't make me gloat over the fact like a Republican,

I didn't say it did. Though I thought we were talking about Obama and I don't know any Republicans as rich as him (not saying there aren't, just that I don't know them). I also don't know of anyone who is gloating that they are richer than George Obama...another fabricated distortion by you. In fact, I don't know of any Republicans that gloat over being rich at all. More made up nonsense by you.

I might as well offer as proof of racism by McCain by stating the fact that his ancestors kept slaves and he therefore hates blacks:rolleyes:

Why stop now? You have been supporting that notion all along (that's what this thread and the OP is trying to say). I'm not sure where me adding to the conversation is going to stop you from saying all kinds of made up stuff, per your standard MO. And I honestly don't have time to keep up with your distortions.

So ministers can provide garbage to support their own narrow view, it's as reliable and relevant as the crap Bush filled the Americans with to justify the illegal and unjust war in Iraq

Well I'm not surprisedthat you know so little about your own country, here's just a few to get you started

"First, Mike Bloomberg is a Republican billionaire who gives and raises huge amounts of money exclusively to Republicans.
Second, ABC News hosted the very worst Presidential debate (and there was a lot of competition!) on April 16. Among the worst moments was whenb millionaire Charlie Gibson attacked Obama for wanting to slightly increase the capital gains tax, which would take a few pennies out of Gibson's (and Bloomberg's) pockets.
Third, the proposed host is Diane Sawyer, who rose to fame and fortune defending Richard Nixon as Ron Ziegler's deputy during Watergate.

It's as made up as all the garbage being posted by Republicans about Obama, I've used exactly the same obscure and irrelevant charges, funny how you find that worthless

DK that was hilarious.

About his brother, though. I think CNN had a report on him. He says he doesn't like Barack and doesn't want any help from him and won't take it.

You provided the distorted response to me, which is what I was responding to. Don't quote me if you don't want me to call you on distortions.

So ministers can provide garbage to support their own narrow view,

No different than you providing garbage to support your distorted view. I feel it is my right to post what I want to support my view here...are you saying it is not?

it's as reliable and relevant as the crap Bush filled the Americans with to justify the illegal and unjust war in Iraq

I'm not sure why your hate of Bush has anything to do with who can provide feedback on a forum. But, just as an aside, have you ever considered that Bush got into office and stayed there because people agreed with him before he ever said a word?

I was replying to the poster and the idiot who wrote the original article

Then quote him/her.

Well I'm not surprisedthat you know so little about your own country,

Seemingly, I know infinitely more about my own country than you do. Most everything you say about the United States (and its leaders) is totally distorted and paints a perverse picture that I have never seen before. I love the United States. I love being a citizen here in good times and in bad. I love the political system. I love it with its flaws, in spite of them. I love the fact that I can disagree. I love the fact that our system allows us to be stupid if we want to. It allows us to see a bright future and make it for ourselves. Or it allows us to think doom and gloom if we want to.

Is this even relevant to me saying that Obama's brother's name is George and he (George) doesn't care about the money? And what does it matter to you or me whether people we don't even know are rich or not?

And if you're talking about the richest person I know OF, that might
include Warren Buffet, who is the richest DEMOCRAT and person. Though I'm not sure why it's relevant at all.

It's as made up as all the garbage being posted by Republicans about Obama, I've used exactly the same obscure and irrelevant charges,

Lots of made up stuff on both sides. But it's really not necessary. Obama has said plenty and acted in a way that is sufficient information for those who do and don't want to vote for him.

Specific to what you've taken on yourself to call me on:
Obama said we need to be our brother's keepers and some people thought it interesting that he wasn't taking very good care of his own brother. I frankly don't care and obviously neither does the McCain campaign. Though it is curious to me that he couldn't make the connection himself before he opened himself up to criticism. Maybe he's not as smart as people says he is.

funny how you find that worthless

Yes, hilarious. Fact is, most everything you post here denegrates the country I love and its leaders, whether in jest or not. You and I have little to no common ground to stand on, so, yes, unfortunately, most everything you type on these forums has no value to me. I do, however, love your jokes and in general, your sense of humor (with no "u").

Which part's distorted?

No different than you providing garbage to support your distorted view. I feel it is my right to post what I want to support my view here...are you saying it is not?

Again what distorted view, Republicans abuse their power both here and in the Whitehouse, then claim to be free thinking leaders of the free world

I'm not sure why your hate of Bush has anything to do with who can provide feedback on a forum. But, just as an aside, have you ever considered that Bush got into office and stayed there because people agreed with him before he ever said a word?

Don't use American phrases and hype against me, I've told you before I don't hate anybody, not even Bush. I just intend to keep attacking his lies and power hungry gun ho policies

Seemingly, I know infinitely more about my own country than you do. If I hated the US I wouldn't even post here at all, If I did I wouldn't have posted countless thousand of posts to them in the Access forums, of course you can't see them anymore thanks to a Republican, rather like countless thousand Iraqis can't get running water/ electricity thanks to Bush bombing the crap out of THEIR country

You mentioned that the Democrats were richer than Republicans and that you didn't know any rich Reps, I merely gave you a few, you can of course find plenty more if you want

Lots of made up stuff on both sides. But it's really not necessary. Obama has said plenty and acted in a way that is sufficient information for those who do and don't want to vote for him.

As has McCain

I'm rather surprised that as a minister you miss the point that he was using the term in the biblical sense, not the literal one, then again maybe not

Yes, hilarious. Fact is, most everything you post here denegrates the country I love and its leaders, whether in jest or not. I find nothing funny about Republican policy in the way they claim to be "the leadership of the free world"

oh and by the way it was you who brought the Republicans into the thread as heroes

A bunch of Republicans took up a rather large collection for him.

Why do you say Cornwallis was crap? Without the arrival of the French Fleet he would have defeated a tired and dejected American force under Washington, but the fresh, disciplined French made the difference.

One has to remember 2 things about the American War of independence
1 It was Britain v The colonies + France + Spain
2 The main requirements of colonies was to provide monet for Britain.

The American colonies were costing money, hence the taxes, However the Caribbean colonies provided a very good income, and thus the British fleet was deployed to protect them from French and Spanish incursion, plus George III main crime had been to run down the fleet, obviously our first Socialist leader .:D

Many people in Britain at the time did not want to fight the war as they felt that the colonies had a good point in its cry concerning taxation and representation.
So I guess both Rich and Rabbie were both correct in part.

Burgoyne didn't do too well a Saratoga either:(

...which inspired the French to jump in, which,in turn, dramtically improved our cuisine, which, in turn, infuriated the Hessians, which, in turn, inspired a brave Colonel Sanders, amidst the enemy, to start up a chain of fried chicken fast food outlets... (roughly speaking).
