Certain jobs, such as being a journalist, attract people who are concerned with the human condition. They want to make the world better. Nothing wrong with that. The problem is not that they are left leaning by nature, but that they have "drunk the cool-aid" and have lost rationality and a foundation based on objective reality.

It all starts with education...

Get the Feds out of k-12 education, it's the State's job
States don't take $ from feds for k-12 education
Leave k-12 curriculums up to the states or even smaller localities so people can choose where they want to live and get their kids educated
Provide tax breaks for private schooling, which provides parents with more choice, and the power to opt-out of free public education--and the taxes that go along with it

Create more conservative-thought colleges, so people have a good set of choices where to get their higher education and the choice isn't only leftwing garbage or full-on Christian schools (although I personally lean toward Christian) but it's always good to have a few choices.

Either stop government subsidized liberal colleges, or fund conservative ones too.
