In 2015 the developers of ivermectin received a Nobel prize for its use as an antimalarial treatment, yet many media outlets contemptuously condemn ivermectin, only mentioning it in a negative construct as an animal de-wormer medication as if had no other use. What happened to follow the science?

The media outlets don't seem to care about the science. They are wildly spewing disgusting political disinformation. As Gutfeld notes, those condemning ivermectin are not journalists. The Rolling Stones article, above, being an example.

Note: the efficacy of any drug takes time to develop. How well ivermectin works as a Covid therapeutic has not been well established, but work is being done. Yet, for some reason, much of the media has no apparent interest in examining the efficacy of ivermectin, only in loudly condemning it and vilifying anyone who attempts to document the efficacy of ivermectin.

Ivermectin, after appropriate clinical trials, may prove to be an effective therapeutic, based on science.

Well at least Rolling Stone ran a retraction. It is not a treatment for malaria as your statement implies. It can be a tool to cut down on the prevalance of malaria as it apparently kills the mosquitos who feed on bloodmeal containing ivermectin before the reproduce.

I never said there wasn't a human use for ivermectin. It's just the idiots who are taking the animal versions of a drug from Walmart that has not yet been proven to be an effective treatment for covid. Will it in the future? Time will tell. It took nearly a year to prove the vaccines effective and they still don't know all there is to know about covid, the vaccines, or other treatments.

It would have taken you very little time to recognize that the makers of Avermectin slightly improved the forumula to produce Ivermectin based on the same work to reduce the effects of parasitic infections. And the name change is required by FDA rules. Change the formula, change the name. You sometimes chide us for incomplete research. What goes around comes around.

The earlier article you referenced comes from an OBVIOUSLY biased "news" source and the research they report shows no evidence of a control study to decide whether the reported effects were statistically significant with respect to the control group. Crap reporting at its finest!

No. It is not just used on mosquitos. It clearly says it was used for HUMANS and to TREAT parasitic infections.

Rolling Stone combined several propaganda pieces together. The first was the ivermectin lie, The second was gunshot victims in Oklahoma couldn't get into the hospital. And the third was really ironic, the stooges used a photo of people in Oklahoma waiting in line to get their C19 jab, wow.

It's all propaganda and they're not really hiding it.

Rolling Stone editors intentionally mislabeled the image that originally appeared in Newsweek: “Gunshot victims left waiting as horse de-wormer overdoses overwhelm Oklahoma hospitals.” Turns out the more accurate caption would be something like: “Waiting in line on a brisk January day at an Oklahoma City church for a dose of the new vaccination.”

It would appear the fundamental origins of Covid could be (directly or indirectly) attributed to Dr. Fauci through the approval and funding of "gain-of-function" research. The potential that "gain-of-function" may have been a cause of Covid is not even contemplated in the Post article.
